We dined as a family last night. While it's quite pricey and the menu is not extensive the main meals served and the service provided is very good. Presentation of food was lovely so compliments to the Chefs. Only complaint was that the air con in the room was freezing. This did not make for an enjoyable meal. I asked if it could be made warmer and it was but really that should have been notice earlier by the staff especially when we were putting more clothes on. There was an obvious change in room temperature from one room to the other and the air vent above the table would have cooled our meals down much faster than needed. Well done to this restaurant though.

First impression is that the cafe was like Coles cafeteria. Rows of tables and white plastic chairs. White vaulted roof. Plastic weather protection walls. But staff provided great service so first impression improved. Coffee not bad but not brilliant. We shared a fruit scone which was a bit stodgy - I prefer a drier scone, but it was quite tasty all the same. One has to walk through the gift shop and past the thousands of plants to climb the hill to the cafe out the back so there's every temptation to spend more. Of course we had to buy ONE plant! Be tempted.

My daughter and son in law were married July 1st, just up the road from Stonehouse Cafe so the next morning we went for brunch. We'd booked a table as we were a large group. How beautiful that the management had a congratulatory message printed on the bottom of the menu & treated us like royalty. Nothing was too much trouble. Our meals were served to a perfect standard and the coffee was excellent. Our wait staff were great and always checking back to see if they could assist. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Stonehouse and highly recommend this cute little Cafe.

Caught up with friends over dinner on a Saturday night. Fortunately I had booked as the restaurant was full. Tables a little close together and noise level loud. Many dishes on the menu sounded delicious and we trouble deciding of what to order. We shared entrees of a mixed plate, scallops, crispy chicken and compementarycorn fritters. Our mains included massaman chicken and ginger beef. Rice and roti bread rounded out the meal. Two mains were ample for the four of us. Should have only ordered one serve of rice as sent back one serve untouched. Several choices for dessert but we settled on refreshing mango and coconut icecream.

Warrandyte is in an area that is easy for me to get to from the north western suburbs and for my parents from Gippsland, so naturally the pub is the best choice for lunch. My dad is a fussy eater and generally pubs cater well for him. Today we were not disappointed. There was not a skerrick of food left on his plate. My mum and I shared a couple of the entrees and we were both impressed. We look forward to having a family catch up here again soon.

Cafe/restaurant with a core focus on fresh, home made meals, top quality coffee and freshly baked home made goods
Warrandyte beautiful place for walking, exploring and eating. Sat outside on decking with lovely view across to the river. Excellent menu for both breakfast and lunch choices. I had toasted focaccia and my friend vegetarian wrap. Plenty of filling in both. Hot and cold drinks available as are a good choice of cakes etc. very friendly staff. Seating also available inside.

Attended as a 4 adult family for a great Sunday lunch. Most smorgasbords you want to stack up the plate, but here where the food would be 4 or 5 star if à la cart it deserves the respect of several (many) trips to taste...MoreA special Hello to the diner, Many thanks for your favourable comments....it`s so good when a diner recognises the fine quality in food presented for consumption. Best wishes, Angelo Falcone [Chef/Owner]

After a stroll along the bank of the Yarra River at Warrandyte on a seniors' Sunday outing we stoped at this Cafe, located at a prime corner location, for a light snack 'lunch'.
Unfortunately my request for what gluten free was available (as there was not indication on the menu other than a chocolate drink) resulted in a embarrassed paused response and a comment 'not a lot but that they had sliced gluten free bread'.
My partner's 'Bowl of house made potatoes wedges with garlic aioli and tomato sauce' arrived somewhat burnt and very oily and at our request was returned the kitchen.
We thank the staff for the fix after the very disappointed wedges
Others may have enjoyed a meal here but on this day it was't us as it was far too light on enjoyment.
