we had the dinner menu (38 €/p + 14 €/p for accompanying wine).
The starter was simply fabulous, lots of great tastes.
As aperitive we took the organic sparkling wine, a nice discovery (30 €/bottle, 7 or 8 €/glass)
The white and red wine served was ok, and the staff was generous and kept coming back to fill the glasses.
The main dish was ok, but less of an amazing surprise than the starter.
I had cheese as dessert (+4 €)

What a nice place to have a romantic (or other) dinner. Quality of food is simply great. Certainly worth visiting. Don't forget to make a reservation... showing up without can cause desillusion if there is no free table. Enjoy the fine authentic food

We aten er lekkere paling met veel frietjes.
De bediening was zeer vriendelijk en hartelijk.
De zaak is mooi ingericht: alles past bij elkaar.
Wel oppassen voor het toilet (als je van het toilet naar de zaak wil gaan en je doet deur open, dan is er direct een afstap (trede naar beneden)).
De zaak heeft een ruime veranda met tuin. Het ligt vlakbij de rivier De Durme, dus ideaal voor fietsers en wandelaars.

Sinds chef-kok Ritchie De Clercq, gastvrouw Lina Vanhese en gastheer Rony dit restaurant twee jaar geleden nieuw leven inbliezen, vinden steeds meer fijnproevers de weg naar dit uniek eetadres. Portobelfino verwijst naar een kwaliteitschocolademerk. Vaak gaat het om subtiele accenten zoals gerechten die op een creatieve manier in cacaoboter gebakken worden. In de keuken wordt de lat almaar hoger gelegd en dat vertaalt zich in hoogstaande culinaire gerechten, suggesties en menu's. Een van de specialiteiten is de 'Bouillabaisse':gemaakt met o.A. Langoustines en king krab. De vis is vooraf gegrild wat voor een bijzondere smaak zorgt. Ook het supermalse en smaakvolle Australisch vlees van met graan gevoederde runderen is een ontdekking waard. En heeft u iets te vieren, dan staat een feestzaal klaar (tot 30 personen). Een prima excuus om een volgend bezoek niet te lang uit te stellen.

Took the dried aged italian meat. Very good. The french fries had a special taste. Didnt particularly enjoy it but they said they are cooking in a fine pork grease, very expensive
Anyway all together was very good
