My family and I visited Vranje without an idea where to eat. We asked a policeman where to eat and he sent us to Hobbit restaurant. Kids immediately liked it. They spent some time researching the paths while one of the kind waiters served us some trout and local burgers. The food was great, salads and beverages cold. Espressos were perfect and the price at the end was under what we were expecting

An old urban house turned traditional restaurant with success. The extensive menu is in Serbian only, but it doesn't matter. Not all items are available. The courteous waiter will tell you what to have - again in Serbian. If you are lucky, the odd patron will translate. If not, again no problem. Food is generally good. A particular mention for excellent bread. Of the entrees, I would recommend the pork in the oven - really well baked and tender.
Two remarks: smoking seems to be allowed indoors and the place is small. So, if you can't stand smoke, go there in the summer. Live music was discreet and allowed for conversation without shouting. Not always the case.
With Haremluk permanently closed, this may be your best option in Vranje for a tasty traditional meal.

The Old violin, Old cherry tree... now we have an "old well"... It's unbelievable how people little or no care when give the names to restaurants.
In the abundance of silly names "old well" is close to the top.
So much uninventiveness... such damage is difficult to rectify later.
But let's leave the names.
As regards interior design, effort can't be neglected.
The ambiance and service are, let's say - decent. This also applies to the meals.
Despite the bunch of good wines wine/food pairing there is still in the process of "knowledge acquisition".
Therefore, inform yourself about the local wines since hardly anyone can help you.
Food is a bit overrated concerning the prices.
Overall impression - just a little effort and all that can be a much better.
Otherwise, first following restaurant that conduct postulates of modern catering establishment will expel ignorant out of game.
Lack of competition can't last forever.

Place for morning coffee, for hang out, exchange gossip and lollygagging.
The afternoon is very similar as before noon.
Only the night differs.
Place gets filled with cheerful youngsters who occupy the garden and watching the river of people flowing around. But it isn't just a place for idleness.
In Nana you can get one of the best sandwiches in town.
With chicken or tuna, prosciutto, ham, kulen, sausage, classic, club or scalloped... all sorts.
"Furnarine" are also excellent. Pizzas and pastas too.
There are many more delicious proposal at this charming bistro menu.
If you pass through there - stop by.

In the very center of the city, there you have it: through a narrow passage, on your left - a spacious outside Seating area under a canopy, perfect in summer, and on your right - a climb of stairs leading inside to a traditional restaurant, suitable for family lunches or dinners, or business brunches. The food is excellent: soups, salads, antipasto, fish, grilled meat of all kinds, whatever suits your palate, even seafood. The staff are polite and efficient and show much respect for their patrons. The prices are affordable, even for a party of 15-20 people.

We have been for a night in Vranje. We noticed this restaurant because of the locals that were sitting inside and outside. The catalog was in Serbian language and nobody understood English. We choose by luck. Everything we ate was meat and delicious! We had 3 main courses, a huge salad, 3 beers and water. We paid 20 euros for everything!

Vrhunski restoran nacionalne kuhinje u centru grada. Specijaliteti sa rostilja, kuvana jela, gulasi, organizovanje proslava, isporuka na kucnu adresu.
House where the restaurant is located it couldn't have been better.
Old building with lots of potential. It is scarcely conceivable that such an advantage remained absolutely, totally, hopelessly unexploited.
This lack of taste, style and ideas, resulting in only one conclusion - absolutely unattractive. Even the garden, that could be the trump card of this place, completely ruined with some kind of a wooden contraption boldly considered for some kind of bower, mildly put, it's disaster.
Three visits, twice inside and once in so called garden. Completely empty the atmosphere, inside and out. Never once I was not the one who chose the place. Each time was a short lunch meeting. Short perhaps because of all of the above.
Truth be told, the food was ok. But I can hardly remember anything else positive.
There is a lot of places with at least similar quality of meals, to satiate hunger elsewhere where other senses will not be neglected or suffer.
What a pity, it could have been lovely place.

We went to Highbury twice during our stay in Vranje. We really liked the atmoshpere, the nice staff, and the variety of drinks.

A decent restaurant. Simple and friendly.
Especially in nice weather when the garden that overlooks the city park is open.
Nothing to highlight but all is one coherent images.
Neither on the menu no "something you can eat only here".
But the food is good. The service is also ok.
Prices are more/less average.
One more place that can earn a passing grade.
our restaurant offers a wide range of the most delicious local dishes, grilled dishes and cooked meals with the best price. With each meal the guest receives a free cup of coffee.
