Totally different to a typical Chinese. Well presented and well served delicacies. Copious amounts per serving. Menu very much abridged to concentrate on quality. Interesting wine selection.

Last Thursday was our fourth time at the restaurant. My wife and I invited an American colleague and although the restaurant was full, the booking had not bring any difficulty. We were again delighted by the great and delicate menu, and prefect service. The wines from the selection were great as well. What struck our guest was the collection of small dishes brought by the waiters from the start of the dinner and that were not indicated in the menu. She could not believe that when dessert indicated in the menu was over, it was then not really over and pleasant dishes with additional desserts kept coming. All in all an unforgettable experience and true luck to have such a great place in Brabant Wallon area. A place that you need to discover, if not yet the case, definitely!

On the N93, between Nivelles and "Quatre Bras Baisy-Thy", Houtain-le-Val, typical village of Walloon Brabant, is home to this old mill converted into hiding greedy by Mireille and Axel Letor. Sweetness and intimacy of a framework for almost delicious shades where the old wheels have their say. Flavor and originality of a kitchen listening to her and blessed by the local market seasons.
We had the pleasure of having a very nice lunch sampling the "plat du jour". Some years ago I regularly visited the 'Au milieu de nulle part' - usually on the way back from the golf course. I was always very satisfied, with food and especially the service - as I almost never reserved.
But a move made that I am no longer passing by this nice little place - until last Friday.
I had a business appointment in the vicinity and all over sudden it was 8 o'clock and everybody left to do better things.
What about me - I was a little bit too hungry to drive home - so I remembered the 'au milieu de nulle part'. As usual without reservation.
This time it was Friday evening and the restaurant at 8:15 was full.
But the staff made me very comfortable at a table close by the bar.
What amazed and still amazes me is the creativity the food is prepared.
As starter I had - smoked sweetbread - on a architrave of aubergine & cheese (goat I assume). I love sweetbread and eat it often while dining out - I liked texture and taste very much. (6 stars out of 5)
As main course I had - Guinea fowl - combined with a mash of potatoes and artichokes. Yet another interesting combination, that makes for me this place so nice.
All this accompagnied by 2 very nice glasses of red wine.
And the service was extremely attentive to me despite the many other things going on that evening.
For me this was a perfect start into a late summer weekend.
Many thanks - espcially to the staff!

Wow ! What an amazing dinner ! The inside was decorated beautifully and you can tell it was done with love and passion . We felt very comfortable sitting in the rich colors of Morocco with authentic decorations that add to the experience of dinning here . Then the food came out and we were blown away by the presentation , flavors , expert Delivery and some of the most delicious dishes we have ever had . The mint tea was amazing and I am still trying to recreate it at home . It relaxed us and was the perfect end to a perfect experience . Don't miss this restaurant. You won't regret it . Try the Moroccan red wine !

Our first time at Chez Ginette to celebrate our wedding anniversary was a perfect choice. A 'typical' brasserie, nicely refurbished but with many hints and traces of the past. Efficient service, friendly and not invasive, as 'brasserie' style requires. The food was excellent. Classical menu, however with some more special delicacies. We had spareribs and lamb, perfectly cooked, tasty sauces and an excellent Burgundy at reasonable price. We both liked the place, we felt at home, and enjoyed a lovely dinner. We will come again, and for sure want to try the garden, Sunshine permitting!

If you want something quick and easy, it is a good place. But not a "fine cuisine" in my opinion. Also, I think it is better in summer.

A l'enquête du gout is one of those hidden away gems that you either stumble across or know of through word of mouth. I happen to live in Bousval and know about it so, when I feel like a treat - it is a michelin star restaurant after all - I have lunch or dinner there.
Definitely in the category of fine dining, Christophe still manages to ensure that you have plenty on your plate (European standards) and leave feeling happily full.
The lunch menu is one to watch out for as, if you are mindful of pennies, provides great value for money!

Carette ice cream is simply one of the best I have ever tasted and is definitely the best in the region. Their ice cream truck comes around the villages during the week and weekends and my little boy runs out of the house and out to the street to welcome it as soon as he hears its chime!
Plenty of choices to choose from and the staff are all lovely!
