This turned out to be a most sympathetic restaurant. It was not so much the serving, done by an older man and a very young girl, both not very talkative, but the whole setting breathed a cosy athmosphere.
The room is modern, yet with much light, coming from big windows, with a nice view to the backside.
We took the 4 course BIB gourmand menue.
Cuisine is classical French. Not any sign of modernism. Thus, deep flavoury dishes and sauces. I found the dark shiny wine sauce that accompagnied the deer fillet very well made.
One letdown though: the croquettes were right out of a industrial deepfrozen bag.
Winelist only French. Prices for anyones purse.
All in all a nice experience.

Found this restaurant on our first night in Belgium and whilst we were initially a bit concerned that it was too fancy for our scruffy attire, the owner came out and made us feel right at home.
Conversation was a little difficult (we only have limited French and only slightly better Italian), but with the help of the internet we were able to pick some attractive dishes from the menu. The wine that was suggested was excellent too, so a big thanks to the owner for that!
My steak was one of the best I've had, cooked to perfection and with a delicious creamy mushroom sauce. I couldn't really fault my dessert either. It was a little expensive, but service aside (a touch slow as seems to be the way for most restaurants in Belgium) we can't really fault it.
Well worth a try.

This place is a little bit off road when your close to Vielsalm
But it's Definitely worth going to.
First of all the place looks very nice
It's a place where locals blend in with tourists
it's also very open to families and large groups
The food is very delicious, it's typical Belgian cuisine with a main Menu and some seasonal dishes
The best part is the meat,
The owner's dad owns slaughterhouses and always brings the best meat parts to the restaurant
The place also serves the local Belgian beers. ( beers that you can only find in that area)
One downpart the place is only open in weekends.

Très bel endroit, dans un parc avec un étang. Spécialités de truites. Pour le reste, petite carte mais plats très bons et produits frais à des prix corrects. Carte des vins réduite. Pas de payements par cartes de crédits.

This place should be higher up the ranking! The food was very good as was the wine. Special treatment as to WiFi for the children which was a blessing. The service was swift, correct and personal. All in all a good experience. Thank you!

Called in when walking past while I stayed in town for a few days.
I ordered a pizza while the son had pasta and both were very good and arrived at the table in a timely manner.
A nice little restaurant with friendly staff and nice food. I'd certainly go there again next time I stay in the area.
