Utila (Isla de Utila) is the smallest of the Honduras' major Bay Islands, after Roatán and Guanaja, in a region that marks the south end of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System, the second-largest in the world.

After seeing the video, You come to Utila ...I had one goal in mind ... I wanted a Skid Row's shirt! I got one and had the best time doing so! Lloyd the bartender is fantastic! We frequented the bar on many occasions because of the great company, fantastic food and drinks! Definitely a must when in Utila!

The old house where Munchies is located is pretty cool. We Had a big load of food from this place for our large family. The fresh fruit smoothies were superb. The chicken tenders were excellent. The main disappointment was that the two fish dishes were both overcooked and the fish was rubbery. This place is relatively expensive as far as Utila goes, so that was a let down.

"This is a Bar/Restaurant, which recently started serving pub fare in a Central American style, including imported cheeses and meats for burgers plus traditional tacos and burritos. Every Wednesday they serve sushi and martinis".
Very simple bar with great views. You have the chance to leave i.e 200 Lempiras and whatever you don't use you can leave it on your tap for the next time. (FYI - no sinks by the bathroom to wash hands).
Super friendly staff. Truly enjoyed this place.

This place was quick with service and food and the meal was both very tasty and very reasonably priced. Definitely good value for money. My husband had grilled tuna with fries and a beer and I had chicken schnitzel with fries and our total order was $13 USD. The menu is a bit confusing as it read like you received salad and your choice of fries or potatoes where as you actually only get one of the three side options with your main course. Definitely would eat here again.

Chicken was very over cooked and pork was less than stellar. Side dishes below average. I know this place receives great reviews but we didn't experience it. And we were there early in the evening...apparently it's expected to go downhill as the evening progresses but not early on.

Great coffee and blended coffee drinks along with a good selection of specialty teas. Freshly baked chocolate chip banana bread, chocolate chip brownies, biscotti and many other selections of the day. We also have breakfast sandwiches featuring the "Bacon-agel" bacon, egg and cheese served on a toasted bagel. Lunch items include imported hamburgers, fresh baked Turkey club, slow roasted pulled pork, BLT's, grilled cheese, a veggie Sandwich and home made sides. Sandwiches are served on Bagels, or buns or home made white bread. Go by the menu or create your own combination. Dine in the cool breeze by the cafe or on the dock. You can even take a swim or use our high speed internet.
If you find yourself on the lovely island of Utila you would be remiss not to stop by Rio Coco for a cup of coffee and some of their delicious banana bread! I always struggle to find a good cup of regular old drip coffee when I travel outside the US so it was a welcome treat to find this cafe! On top of that the atmosphere is great and very welcoming, all the food I had was delicious, the Internet is reliable/fast, they have a nice little library, and most importantly the family running it is very nice!
Definitely worth a visit... every single day you are on the island!

Opened March 2013. The setting is spectacular - right on the beach, just steps away from our 190-foot pier and offering magnificent mountain and sunset views. The tantalizing menu will feature favorites like: Wings, Jambalaya, Fish tacos, Angus Burgers, Shrimp Po Boys, Nachos, Cubans, Ceviche, Plantain Chips, Hand-Cut Fries, and Coconut Red Beans and Rice. Also, try our signature cocktails. Mojitos, Mudslides, Spicy Margaritas and the Orange Crush. Neptunes at Coral Beach Village is destined to become one of Utila's most popular dining and carryout spots! We are also available for private dinners, parties or special events in the evenings. Please message with inquiries.
My family and I visited recently for the first time because we heard nothing but great things about this place. We were disappointed to find that they were wrong. This place is amazingly stellar and otherwise simply breathtaking! From the gorgeous views of ocean to comfortable shaded or sunny sitting areas this place is great. Their food, drink, and service are awesome. While visiting for the day with the wife and kids we decided to inquire if they had any rooms available for the night. They did so we sent the kids home and my wife and I spent an amazing time alone. During the night, all the stars in the universe were visible and we spent 3am outside marveling over all the constellations and saw many shooting stars. We not only said we'd be back but we have been here a few times now. Neptune's is highly and utterly recommended!

Had the garlic ok mein and sweet and sour chicken - for a Chinese restaurant on the island of Utila these guys rock - all fresh ingredients cooked right there in the wok!

This restaurant is apparently in the "bad" part of town, but they put out some great food that is mostly Thai, or south east asian style. Lots of exotic spices and flair. The prices are very reasonable, considering the hard to find spices used. Portions are large, and the service is good, considering it is just the cook and his one other staff. They are both extremely nice! It is just inside the gate, off the road to the airport, about 300 meters off Utilas main road. The "Jade Seahorse" is actually a totally over the top eclectic property, with 5 or 6 rooms that was the nicest room we had during our 2 month central american trek. The rooms are so quaint, and comfortable, decorated so nicely! Made us feel so much like being at home, rather than just in another room. The grounds are like some kind of amusement park, with statues, overpasses, tunnels, and quirky displays, all man made out of recycled materials and decorated with mosaic telework and old electronics! Walkways through the maze of artwork is also all covered in mosaic telework, with narrow twisting pathways through the Gardens and artwork. I can only imagine the hours, days, years it took apparently just the owner to complete this labour of love. We really feel lucky to have found this place while searching for a decent room in our budget. "Julia" is the owner/hostess for the property, and she is a treasure of humanity! The only downside when staying here is the many "look loos" that are rightly awestruck by the property, and wandering about taking photos and such. Julia could definitely charge admission to take in this amazing property. Rooms have hot water, great wifi, security boxes, small fridges, A/C, fan, and wonderful beds and linens! You really have to see this place to believe it! I was hesitant to do any review of this property, for fear it will constantly be sold out for our return, but It really should enjoy all the success it deserves.
