This place supports SVP, the nasty right wing party in Switzerland. Not only are they opposed to foreigners in Switzerland, they constantly insult them with their barrage of xenophobic propaganda.
This restaurant regularly hosts the SVP on their Terrace, allow them to put up stands and all their propaganda in the hope of brainwashing gullible Swiss into voting for them. Which, you will be surprised to know, happens all the time. They are the most supported political party in Switzerland. Just goes to show what Swiss people are really like.
Every person has the right to know and this is why I am posting this review. I for one will never come back to this place. The food was average at best and it will certainly not be missed.
Shame on you Fabio.

Small, charming restaurant in an old Riegelhaus. We ordered the 4-Course Menu and it was amazing. Just the right amount of food and time. We weren't rushed, and could enjoy it all. The food was delicious and innovative in its combinations of flavors. Great service as well. Not inexpensive, but well worth it. Certainly a good "special occasion" restaurant.

We went to Brunnentor on a double date last Saturday and had a great dinner.
As a hotelier I respect restaurants that not only get it right, but do so consistently. It's easy for Michelin starred restaurants to do it with their ridiculously exorbitant prices and their large kitchen brigades, it's much tougher to achieve this level when in a local casual dining restaurant with limited resources. I have been going to this place for years and the food & service is always great, always the same.
As always, I ordered a large pork schnitzel with carrots and spinach only, no fries. The veggies here are absolutely awesome, perfectly seasoned, cooked to perfection. I love the combination of greasy deep fried schnitzel with umami spinach and tender carrot batonets. If you are into your fries then yes please order them. They are seasoned with a flavour enhancer and are pretty tasty.
For starters we ordered 2 Nüsslisalats Mimosa (lambs lettuce salad, chopped boiled egg) and a steak tartare. The salad was fine, nothing special, the dressing tasted store bought and this could easily have been tossed up at home by a novice. I don't normally order Steak Tartare as I am simply not a lover of raw minced beef. Carpaccio I enjoy but not tartare. Nevertheless I did taste some from my friend and it was tasty, perfectly seasoned with a hint of spice.
For mains everyone ordered a schnitzel and everyone enjoyed what they were served. Fried thinly battered and bread crumbed pork or veal. For desserts we ordered a Black Forest ice cream ball and a coupe, both good.
This is our local and we will return. Thanks very much.

This Italian is part of a small chain and does exactly what you'd expect. Menu is varied and food quality good. Service is prompt and friendly. Decor is bog-standard Italian chain, though being able to eat outside on a warm evening is a plus.

So for a little reunion my partner and his friend and his wife made a reservation at this establishment. Apparently it;s their favourite steakhouse in Zurich vicinity,
The restaurant sits on a beautiful spot next to a little castle/ mansion. The view from the Terrace was stunning. But it was cold mid-September's eve, so outdoor Seating is out of question.
All 4 of us ordered different cut of meat and sauces. All satisfied and maybe a little regret on my part for ordering the smallest cut, mainly because i am a slow eater, really really slow, but otherwise everyone was happy. The service is prompt and efficient. Our waiter speaks both German and English, so no problem there, either. Portion was generous and tasteful, we had to forgo the dessert for coffee. Will definitely refer to friends to try it if they happened to be in Uster, for some reason :)

We enjoyed a nice selection of food from here for a family night in. Having everything available to take away was a real bonus, and the food was fresh and tasty. I'd go there again. The only downside is that it was a lot more expensive than other take away options (e.g. Chinese or Italian) in Uster.

The place is really small, therefore it is very difficult to get in without a reservation. The food is very good. The kitchen is a mixture between swiss and modern style. Everything seems to have the proper details and flavours. It is a great place to celebrate special occasions.

The restaurant is with the new crew much better. It has the possibility to sit outside and enjoy a quiet dinner. The food is a mixture between simple pizza and italian spacialities. Some times your get good plates, some other times not so good. I believe the cook is (too?) ambitious, so that not all recipies are perfect... yet.
What takes us ofter to that place is definitely the location and the service, by the family who owns the place. They are really caring for the clients, and giving their best to get good honest food to the table.
