I have to say the steaks here are excellent and the place is a higher class of restaurant than you normally find in the town , but you do pay for it. Even mid week the restaurant was very busy , my only complaint and the reason it did not receive 5 stars is there was a very limited choice of local craft beers , guess this is more of a wine place.

I went with a friend at Poivre Noir and looked for something special in the region of Trois-Rivieres. We were impressed by the services and the waiters presented us all the meals in English.
Menu were great and location fantastic, this restaurant is one of the best I went in that city.

Loved my pasta - Mac & cheese ! My husband asked for buffalo mozzarella on his pizza & black olives - the pizza was $17, they charged extra $2 for the olives and $12 (yes twelve) for the cheese !!! For a tiny amount !! We were shocked by this addition on the bill & even more shocked that the server did not mention how much it would be when he requested the substitution. So just beware of this strangeness if you try to order anything off menu !

La Dolce Vita in Trois-Rivieres! Fresh pastas made everyday, incredible Pizzas and Calzones...since 1997.Homemade sauces and desserts...Unique ambiance, service and decor. Outdoor tables in summer. A must in Trois-Rivieres.
A group from work went here for an evening meal . the food was excellent for all of us , the lasagne i had was huge and very filling . The place is very nicely themed and the staff very pleasant but service was quite slow, probably because there was only one lady serving the tables . some of our later arrivals had to wait 15 mins to get a drink as an example . i did love the great choice of beers and they even had unfiltered beer which is rare to find in a bar.

This restaurant is located near the Delta hotel. It is small, cosy and run by a couple that know their food and their wine.
Lucien cooks the specialty meats at your table: I shared with a colleague a chateaubriand (thick beef tenderloin) for two which was just awesome and served with vegetables. My appetizer of garlic-butter snails was equally very delicious.
There is a wide selection of wine and Lucien makes great suggestions on the selection depending on what food you order. The wine is then decanted in a large carafe before serving.
The place is price but you get the fine French cuisine experience. Service is impeccable.
A must do once in Trois-Rivières.

Quebecois Restaurant with maple syrup factory attached. Restaurant Quebecois avec fabrique de sirop d'érable.
Great place to visit if you can time your stop between tour buses. Otherwise very crowded, but the efficient staff gets the food out to you. It is an all you can eat lunch (they also serve breakfast and dinner) with bean soup, meat pie, baked beans, maple ham, pancake, etc. Served family style at large tables. Even have a dessert at this sugar shack --maple taffy rolled in ice under the outside shed. Fiddlers provide musical entertain up front and circulating in the restaurant.,

Had a business lunch with several colleagues. Most of us ordered the Phat thai with chicken. It was crowded for a TUE per our local host, and we had to wait quite a while (close to 30 minutes) for our food. However, the food was great. Gigantic white bowls. I ate every bit of it. Rated as Average only since we had to wait so long - the food was very good.

nous sommes fermes pendant nos vacances annuelles en janvier et fevrier reouverture le 5 mars 2018. Au plaisir!
The drive from Montreal to Quebec is primarily rural farmland, lovely. There are not many places to stop for a bite to eat unless you want McDonalds. Take the time and get off the highway at Trois-Rivieres for lunch. This lovely former church is now a clean modern restaurant on the inside with a large communal table and several individual tables for 2 or 4. Homemade soups and salads, grilled sandwiches make for a terrific lunch spot. The onion soup and carrot soup were outstanding with the onion soup made with sweet onions and very flavorful. The soup and salad combination is excellent but the salad is very tiny so if you are hungry order the larger salad or the soup and Sandwich combination. The service was very good and the owner was extremely pleasant. The waitress did speak some english which was helpful.

Greek restaurant that has been around since 1959. Waitress are dressed with greek costume. But beside all that, they make excellent pizza.
Really nice crispy crust. They give you some butter to put on it.
The special grec is all dressed with oignons and bacon.
It is really thick and there is a lot of mushroom also.
Worth a detour

Our group of 17 people had booked at the restaurant of the Auberge du Lac Saint-Pierre in Pointe-du-Lac for a birthday lunch. The restaurant placed us in a private room, separate from the main dining area, which was perfect as there were children in our group and we felt like we were not disturbing anyone. The food was well prepared with unusual delicious appetizers, such as a creme brulee of tomatoes and a smoked duck salad. The fish of the day was fresh and well presented. Those who had the guinea-fowl as an entree were very happy with their choice. For dessert, we had ordered a birthday cake which was fresh and artistically put together. Service was impeccable.
