They took our order speedily enough, but the wait for the food was long, long, long, especially given that there weren't all that many customers. Food was pretty much worth the wait, though. My Thai-style omelette with minced shrimp was outstanding and my wife's chicken with cashew nuts was very good. Like the funky décor, as well.

Little by little visitors to the crowded, tourist driven side of Koh Chang (turn right at ferry) are discovering the less touristy, more Thai and scenic 'other side' (turn left at ferry) and once in Salak Phet, this restaurant is a natural choice if your wallet allows a little extra. The views of Salak Phet Bay are fantastic, the service is slow giving you time to enjoy and the food is very, very fresh and tasty. We live in Salak Phet, this is one of 3 seafood restaurants in the area that keeps us alive

Returning to eat at this friendly well situated SeaFood restaurant was a pleasure. All food is prepared quickly and to a very high standard, seated overlooking Bang Bao Bay as the sun drops below the palm trees !!!!!
You have to try the crab in coconut, or the butterfly tamarind prawns, so full of Thai sweet and sour mouth watering flavour.
Bang Bao is only a 20 min scooter ride from Klong Prao and well worth the effort.

Food on the beach and drink are so terrific. I love the band inside the club there a lot. Service is so so but who cares!

Although old hands when it comes to Thailand it was great on our first night to indulge ourselves with walls, air conditioning and an English menu !
Pleased we found this restaurant/ cafe cake shop.
Staff were friendly.
Food was very good quality & my yellow curry crab with spring onions washed down with a cold Singha was just the thing after 24 hours traveling

All foods are so yummy especially "Mieng Pla" it is a kind of fish. In my opinion the best time to go should be in the evening coz you can walk along the beach and enjoy the view.

Please don't be put off this place when they hand you an English language menu with no prices shown. It's going to be great value whatever you eat. Open-sided, full of Thais having a good time (3 tables passing round bottles of local whisky the night we were there) this is Thai food as Thais like it.
There's a longish menu of ingredients and styles of cooking. Some are a bit obscure, I admit. I wonder what 'bowel soup' is for example? But there are plenty of combinations you'll love, with frog and alligator for the more adventurous. So do what we did and make a choice based on what you like or what you'like to try, add a couple of beers, and you will not be disappointed. We had as much as we could eat, of the nicest Thai food you could wish for, with a couple of large bottles of Chang. And the bill for 2 was BHT370! So do please try this really good, traditional Thai restaurant.

In a traditional thai wood house with a magnificent garden we provide homemade european food with a family spirit for reasonable price. Open since 12 years now .
The manager of our hotel told us about this place and we were glad we went. Amazing freshly made pizza, served out at tables on this house’s two Porches. Highly recommended!
