It can be challenging to find an English speaker in Trang if you are a tourist there so this cafe is the place to be! Friendly atmosphere and delicious/creative food where you can mingle with the locals and travelers alike. Ask for Dear, the chatty lady, she's a unique source of energy ;)

Welcome to our Hilltop Restaurant. We serve Thai, European, vegetarian, organic vegetable and also vegan food. We are open from 9 am to 10 pm all year. We use local products for our food. We hope to see you! :)
If you go to Koh Muk you have to try to eat at Hill Top.
Here the food is fantastic, the portions big and cheap and the service outstanding.
You can sit out or in.
The restaurant is family run and both sons and daughters helps serving while mom makes the food.
I have had both breakfast and dinner and every time I have enjoyed the food and atmosphere.
Fantastic!

Thailand's version of dim sum is a bit different compared to the Malaysian version or even HK's .. the serving size is a bit small. However, the variety is plenty to satisfy the taste buds. Throw in Trang's famous roast pork, char-koay and porride, it is enough to fill up the bio-fuel cell in one self.
The owner speaks decent English and is extremely friendly. However, parking could be a tad problem during peak hours in the morning
'Damage' is pretty affordable

In fact we don’t know if the food is good or not. When we arrived we quickly got the menu and then we have been waiting and waiting to place our orders. Since we were on vacation we have been zen but thought after 35 min that it could only get worse. The staff was not organized, customers got served randomly, some were complaining too. We decided to leave since it was surrounded by other restaurants.

We tried it cause it was full every evening!
Prices in the average, a little bit lower maybe. Too much fans in the face and in the back (not so hot for all that wind!).
Food was good, menù with many choices, wine too expensive and not good. Beers so perfectly cold!
Staff very kind.
I cant't say good and more cause in the night I felt sick and spent the next 4 days in the toilet.. but who knows? In any case, I didn't come back.

Try the Gnocci (home made) with squid. And save room for desert...panecotta, tiramisu and gelato. All made fresh daily.

Experience the finest Italian cuisine in the heart of Southeast Asia at Anantara Si Kao’s signature restaurant, Acqua. Located beside the river that runs through the resort, this Krabi restaurant lets you dine on an open-air balcony or in the air-conditioned dining room on food plucked straight from the Andaman Sea that morning.
Dined here twice. One as part of the package deal purchased for the hotel, the other a romantic dinner for two in an alcove which was beautifully decorated with strewn flowers and lit candles, tablecloths and special treats. Food delicious but rush with courses arriving too quickly after each other. Drinks menu good too with nice selection. The alcove overlooked the inner courtyard of the main restaurant. Not a great view when over my shoulder was the best view overlooking the water. Perhaps a rethink of placement?
