We humbly offer the best Italian espresso, as well as different styles of coffee, very tasty desserts, international salads, some vegan or vegetarian meals, Italian, Mediterranean and European food. We offer a good service with multicultural staff, prepared and attentive in order to offer the best services in the beautiful Tortuguero National Park-Costa Rica
We came in only for a cup of cappucino - perfectly done , but could not resist the Budda cheese cake which tasted heavenly! a few hours later we returned for Pizza ( vegeteriana and suprima ) and Sangeria - this was just the perfect ending to a busy day.

We ate lunch at Miss Junie's based on the glowing recommendation of Lonely Planet. The food was OK, good flavour but fish and chicken were both chewy, with some good rice/beans/plantain and a half-assed salad. There was one other party of four in the restaurant, and still it took 20 minutes to be served water and an hour for our food. The server and kitchen staff seemed to leave for long stretches of time during our stay. Based on reviews of other local spots, I wouldn't bother.

Stoped there for Lunch and dinner and the food flavor was really good. The Caribbean chicken was good flavor along with the rice and beans, the piece of plantain was flavorless. What lower my qualification to this place is because definetly they still need to learn customer service. For dinner they served my food but never offerd something to drink so I decided to drink from my bottle of water. The plate and the portion looks small and I think is more expensive than other places

Great food place in Tortuguero. Serves a few variations of the typical casado with your choice of meat.
This place offers a variety of typical meals, Casado, and everything tasted fresh and delicious. Friendly staff, reasonable prices.

This bakery/cafe was right next to my B & B (Casa Marbella). I tried several times to buy one of their delicious sounding cakes but the 'cupboard was always pretty bare'. I don't know why.
Anyway I stayed for a delicious cheese/salad baguette (served warm) & had a coke (as their milkshake blender wasn't working - shame).
They have a nice Terrace overlooking the river.
Good for breakfasts/light lunches/pizzas
I'm happy to recommend them (& hope you have more luck in getting a piece of cake...........)

When I travel to such a remote place like Tortuguero, I am not looking for the commodities of progress. What I really want is to experience the place as is. This is what Muellecito offered. Simple delicious carribean food, normal prices and the authentic feel. I loved to witness a family run business where their own life was happening - adorable kids running around and playing, friendly dogs making me company, locals hanging around.
Went there more than once during my stay and will go back if in Tortuguero again!

We were pleasantly surprised to have one of our better vegetarian meals here and for a much cheaper price than the touristy options in the village (Budha and wild ginger).
The food (vegetarian local dish and vegetarian pasta) was nothing fancy but good, nice portions and cold beer. We couldn't expect more.

The restaurant is located in the middle of the small town. They have very good batidos - fruit shakes - and a variety of dishes. We had the traditional gallo pinto for breakfast and liked it.
Its to say that this place is among the cheapest in town both for drinks and food.

Excellent food with pleasing presentation. Place is in the middle of the jungle and decor takes full advantage of setting. Chef/owner attentive and inquired about how we enjoyed our dishes.

We ate here before our turtle tour. It was so bad! The chicken was just full of cartilage and bland. The rice was the only edible thing on there! Save yourself a terrible meal and go around the corner!
