Thetford is a market town and civil parish in the Breckland district of Norfolk, England. It is on the A11 road between Norwich and London, just south of Thetford Forest. We had a really lovely evening here for Valentine's Day. Lovely friendly staff, relaxed surroundings and great food! (The fillet steak was sublime) Thanks Karen and all at the Mulberry, we'll be back! Would recommend this as a very pleasant escape from the underwhelming chain restaurants at nearby Center Parcs...

Ordered take-away -value was good at £36. The ribs we ordered were tasty and enjoyed by all.Other than that dishes were OK-have had much better tasting Chinese meals.Food was ready at the time we ordered it for and receptionist was friendly. Due to price would visit again.

Never tried it before, didn't book, so went with an open mind. Loads of parking, comfortable atmosphere, fast, friendly but not rushed service, even though the table service was required 90 minutes later. Carol was the waitress, very pleasant, been there years, total professional. Standard Sunday roast, fresh vegetables, plenty of tasty food, and a half of my favourite real ale. Very reasonable price for a very pleasant dining experience with absolutely nothing to fault. Call in if you're passing on the A11 - only 30 seconds off the roundabout. This could become a regular.

Extremely disappointed with our takeaway meal on Monday night (30th Oct) I ordered the biryani which I had previously had from this restaurant and loved. When it arrived, it was very obviously some leftover rice with vegetables in. It was most definitely not a biryani (a dish I order every visit to an Indian restaurant.) Didn't have the texture or flavour of a biryani. Did they send the wrong dish or just couldn't be bothered to make a biryani for one on a Monday night? Extremely disappointed by our well love takeaway.

We pride ourselves on serving locally sourced freshly cooked food, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Located at the roundabout at the beginning of the Swaffham Road, which is the main road from the south to the north Norfolk coast, the junction of the A1065 and A134. Open daily from 9am to 4pm, also the first Saturday of every month for fine candlelit dining from 7pm. Popular Sunday lunch/carvery destination. Available for private functions & parties. Booking recommended.
Lovely ambiance, great staff and attentive. Wine nice and cold.
But I ordered the beef bourguignon with roast potatoes and the portion size was a ladle of each ! My sister ordered the bubble and squeak which came with ham,egg and a plateful of salad which took her a lot of time to eat. It was all very tasty but the bourguignon needed to be at least twice as much, not half a single oval pie dish.
I will visit again as there is a lot of boxes ticked except one.

We are a family friendly pub/restaurant with amazing daily deals.
Regular visitor to the Chase, and it seems they are consistently understaffed. The waiting time at the bar is ridiculous sometimes. I appreciate the staff can only do what they can do but perhaps management should invest more in the staff numbers?
The knock on to this is that tables, especially in the sports bar, still have old food on the tables for over an hour since the last customers left. Piles of empty glasses. Not a good look for new customers wanting to find somewhere to seat and all they have is dirty tables!
Improvement needed!

Very nice place to visit and staff were great but the food was luke warm. I ordered a steak, salad and coleslaw with jacket potato, it was ok abeit the temperature and there are many reviews saying that. It's such a shame as the atmosphere and decor are really comfortable. The prices are really good, but maybe this place needs a few more staff in restaurant and clearly the kitchen. Other than that, this place is very very nice and could quite easily spend a few hours there. I would recommend it and I will be back.

Recently visited Franklins Brasserie with school friends & our sons. We all had the rump steak and as I always say, a cleared plate is proof of how good the meal was and all 6 plates were cleared. Good food, great company, buzzing atmosphere & as always very friendly and professional service. Thanks Franklins Brasserie, we will come again for Dads n' Lads II.

re of town - we're proud of our history and of being a part of Thetford - the Lime Kiln Kitchen is our nod to this. We
ThetfordGardenCentre don’t refund, shocked! I’ve just returned a stool that didn’t fit under my work surface, complete with tags and receipt in hand. But told credit note only. How very disappointing and customer unfriendly, shame on you directors. It’s all about the money.
Nice cafe shame about he garden centre

Cheers Restaurant is situated within the heart of Thetford! Becomes popular with Steak on a Hot Stone, accompanied with Sangria or House Wine!
I went to this restaurant whilst down in the area visiting family.
I was travelling from West Yorkshire and the traffic was awful. The restaurant pushed our booking time back twice which was good of them to start with.
I’ve never eaten somewhere with this kind of menu but we were not disappointed.
We loved all the food and loved how you cooked your own steak on the hot stones.
The garlic rice was lovely and the black beans really made it all come together.
The sangria kept flowing and the staff were very attentive.
I will be sure to come again next time I’m in the area!
