We ate a fantastic lunch here, choosing from the extensive menu. The food is fresh and well cooked. For us, it was a welcome relief from the pure vegetarian food of our hotel.

Hailing from a south Indian background and South India being the cradle of spices since ancient times, our preparations are based on the aroma and flavour of the spices. Our cuisines are derived from the traditional style of cooking. All our recipes are authentic Indian recipes and not any less important
We were here on a public holiday evening, the place was brimming with eager to eat customers. The restaurant staff were swift and helpful in organising the Seating for us; we were a group of 5. The dosa was delicious and the coffee was simply superb, truly the classic Tanjavur coffee. The restaurant presents a simple and traditional format. Seems popular among tourists, including visitors from abroad. Good choice, if you are looking for a tasty southern food.

My lovely wife and I popped in here for a quick bite to eat one evening. It's a brightly lit, clean place just opposite the new bus stand. We'd had a large lunch so didn't want a big meal. The masala dosa hit the spot nicely. The accompanying sambar and chutneys were very tasty. Good value at 60 rupees each. The place is, however, awash with overly eager staff. I honestly have no idea why they need quite so many of them! It would have been nice to have been given a bit more space but I guess they were just being friendly. Maybe they were making a big effort just for us as I'm guessing that they don't get too many foreign visitors. Worth a visit if you are staying nearby or are waiting for a bus.

This place is known for serving best biriyani and fish fry. I liked the fish fry more their biriyani. You will get different non-vegetarian dishes in this restaurant. Don't expect hi-fi ambience or service. If you are a foody and interested in tasting local food then you can visit this place. A South Indian non-vegetarian lover can have a feast here.

Ideal place for refreshing in Thanjavur, a reasonable coffee shop. Good fresh brewed coffees, tried cappuccino today & it was nice. The snacks are also good especially the paneer burger my daughter said it was delicious. It's a nice place to eat and enjoy your coffee.

My lovely wife and I visited this restaurant for lunch when visiting the nearby 'big' temple. It's a typical Tamil lunch spot serving tasty thalis/meals. You get four different types of curry, some sambar, a big pile of rice to mop it all up with and a popadom on the side. Served on a banana leaf and eaten - of course - with your fingers. Free top ups of anything you like until you are full. We've eaten quite a few such meals in the past week or so as we've travelled through Tamil Nadu's spiritual heartlands and this was definitely among the best of them. Great value at 75 rupees each.
