Tétouan (Arabic: تطوان, Berber languages: ⵜⵉⵟⵟⴰⵡⵉⵏ, French: Tétouan, Spanish: Tetuán) is a city in northern Morocco. The Berber name means literally "the eyes" and figuratively "the water springs". Tétouan is one of the two major ports of Morocco on the Mediterranean Sea. It lies a few miles south of the Strait of Gibraltar, and about 60 km (40 mi) E.S.E. of Tangier. In the 2014 Moroccan census the city recorded a population of 380,787 inhabitants. Tétouan's civil airport Sania Ramel Airport is located 6 km (4 mi) to the east.

Tetouan in February is not the best place to find an open restaurant. The Restinga had good, freshly prepared food, & also served beer and wine (very hard to find elsewhere!) and lovely complementary olives and a warm chickpea starter. Service was good. You'll need to eat early, though, as it seems to close at 8.30 every evening!

Blanco Riad is a hotel with 8 rooms and a restaurant. We offer breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. We have a nice Terrace where to have tea and biscuits at any time of the day. Our kitchen is traditional Moroccan with some modern Moroccan dishes. We cook with local products. Eggplant cannelloni stuffed with seafood on olive paste and honey, goat tagine with caramelized figs or seafood pastela are some of the plates that we offer. The starters cost 40 dh (less than 4 euros) and main courses 80 dh (less than 8 euros).
We stopped for a meal after a journey through the Medina in Tetouan. The staff was very welcoming and the food was excellent. The baked goods-- cookies and cakes-- were positively stellar. I had unsweetened mint tea with my food and it was very refreshing.

We really enjoyed our dinner at Olas! We had the Olas salad, seafood spaghetti and a massive Special Paella for two. With the complimentary bread and tapas to start, it was a feast we couldn't even finish! Our server Redouane was courteous and patient, answered our questions and provided a menu in English, which was convenient. The prices were more than reasonable, especially considering the excellent location with a picturesque view of the Mediterranean: We got out of there for less than $40 USD total! Strongly recommend.

One of the best 5 restaurants I have ever been in the world, for lovers of fresh seafood like me. The fact that it is a very popular restaurant with the local people, tells you that the food is fresh, tasty and not expensive!!! I have been there more than once and consistently I am always satisfied. Word of warning - do not go there if you are on diet or feeling full...

Although this place serves fast food, we ordered a birjiss salad and paella here, both of which were very good and very filling. The seafood paella is for 2 people, and has generous portions of everything, including the seafood. It was delicious and tangy, though i think it could have fed 3 moderately hungry people!
The "birjiss salad" was interesting, with a mix of tuna, sweetcorn, apples, raisins, lettuce, carrots, pasta and rice and other strange ingredients that somehow seemed to work, gelled together by mayonnaise. I'm not sure how healthy it was, but it was bizarrely nice. I don't think i would order that particular salad again though!

Nice, modern place that is unique in Tetouan. They have delicious baked goods, unfortunately lunch opportunities are limited. However, the only place with sushi in Tetouan outside Summer, thats a big plus. But the sushi doesn't look very fresh, I guess because its not ordered a lot maybe. The only real downside is their music, its too loud in an already small and crowded place and also the kind of music is not suited for background music in a restaurant, too noisy.
Tip for customers: order the Belgian Chocolate milk!
Tip for Sucresso: add some American things to your assortment like Red Velvet, carrot cake, apple pie etc.
