This house is old Japanese house. Almost nothing like this fairy tale. when you into this restaurant that is dark. So full of a smoke in the room becouse there is Japanese Irori. Irori is Japanese fireplace. It's a cooking place and hearth. You'll be smoked like a meat. And you can eat a good Soba noodle.

This is a local favorite in a city famous for pasta. They have three restaurants I believe, I've been to two. Their flavors are a little different, have a little twist added that make them either really good or not so much so depending on what you like. I really really like some of their dishes (pepperoncino) while my wife really likes their meat sauce.
There's always a bit of a wait and the parking lot is often full, but it's a great meal if you've got a little time to spare and you're a fan of pasta!

Considering the location in Gunma a nice steakhouse with good meat quality at reasonable prices. Not cheap but much cheaper than in Tokyo. The preparation lacks the knowledge of a steak house but the quality and price compensate. Forget the Caesar salad. Not even the dressing comes close. In total very recommendable.

This is not the main restaurant (see Harappa Iwaoshi) but it is just as tasty! The first twenty items or so on the menu all have the garlic mark on them and most have the hot pepper mark as well. If you want just a plain good meat sauce, or a simple cream sauce this is not the place to bother. If you like cheese and olive oil and garlic with a great flavor this is a local favorite that I visit often.
The service is better at the main restaurant, but that is wholeheartedly expected given that this one is located within the station building. You can get off the bullet train and be eating pasta in 5 minutes so no complaining if you don't get two dollars off you bill just for smiling and being kind like I did the first time I visited the main restaurant.

This is a little hole in the wall mom and pop shop that belongs on the Food Channel. The master kept pulling shellfish out of an aquarium and doing them up. One word: delicious. Ok, 2 words: Fantastic. Come here.
You can have Fugu (Blowfish) and not die here. The biggest scallops I have ever seen (pics below) from Saroma Lake in Hokkaido. 6 years old, to taste them was perfection. Hamaguri.
Tiny place – couldn’t have been Seating for more than 10 people.
