We stayed overnight at this complex, so decided to have a dinner there. There were no available chairs outdoors, but that was even for better - there is loud overlapping music from several cafes near the river. We were initially proposed a table near a stove (which was too hot) and we asked to reserve another table when somebody leaves, which was provided by the administrator. The place was at the very end, so we had to wave to a waitress to get noticed :) Other than that everything was brilliant, especially food and drinks - both prepared extremely tasty!

Absolutely delicious "уха" (seafood soup) with large pieces of fish "палтус" (halibut/turbot). Fresh shrimp plate makes a good appetizer if you don't mind dealing with the heads. Also sampled a hot appetizer in a creamy sauce containing various small fish - tasty but not on the same level as the previously described. I was less impressed with the meat although what I ordered might not have been the most delicious carnivorous item on the menu (veal with spicy sauce). I preferred the grilled salmon that my companion permitted me to try. Very large strudel - one is easliy a double portion anywhere else -- and it is also delicious but don't forget to tell the waitress not to add chocolate sauce. (There is some kind of Ukrainian dysfunction to add chocolate sauce to desserts or drip balsamic vinegar on mains.) Our waitress Marina was polite and efficient, but the real applause goes to the chef Roma. My review pertains to when Roma is on duty. He has an excellent reputation as a chef in Sumy.
Only downside is that you will pay more here -- about 1/3 more than in Zdybanka, for example. Three patrons ordering a full spread minus salad plus one bottle of Bordeaux plus tip will set you back $100 in total. Still cheap compared to Kiev prices but something to consider. Interesting nautical decor and ample Seating. Would have appreciated, however, some sand being laid in front as the approach was very slippery with the snow starting to melt in the day and a layer of ice forming at night!
Located outside the city centre just before the Ukrainian restaurant Okolice in the hotel complex of the same name.

I love this place. Good food and great staff. Love the ice cold beer and hoe quickly our food was prepared. Would highly recommend anyone going to Sumy check it out.

The first impression when you enter the restaurant is very poor - the design is almost perceptibly cheap colorless beige with some carpets hinting at Azerbaijan heritage. However there is nice Seating outside when it is warm. Menu is quite big, with good variety of Caucausian food. However, service is merely acceptable. It took ages to cook the food while restaurant was empty, waiter was bringing latte for at least 20 min. My veal steak was delivered half cold and was cooked as rare though they did not even ask how I want it to be cooked. Good quality of food but served in uncomlimentary way.

my favorite place in sumy is now my biggest nightmare, returning after one year, I find so many changes for the worst, the best items on the menu have disappeared, wine list has been cut down, and the food is terrible...even offensive when you get served caned food is such a place.

We tried to visit this place in the Sunday noon. After we took the place outdoors and waved to a waitress after few minutes of waiting (which was OK) - she made the face like "OMG, what they forgot here..." or like we did not pay for previous dining :) When she silently put a menu on the table I said "Good morning", she silently turned around and went away. Of course, there were no a single reason to stay anymore at this place and we left.

Not very expensive, light atmosphere, great pies and strudels. The desserts are also pretty good. Will come again when I am in Sumy

Very tasty food, have been many times now for breakfast, lunch and for dinner. Service is above average but the waiters still need to smile more.
