I dined in downtown and what made happy is the quality of service and the quality of food ; it is really out of this world. It is no doubt that downtown is a classical place to dine and selection of wines is awesome. The best restaurant in terms of service, food, and cleanliness. Waiters and supervisor were very intuitive and responsive , they even arranged panadol upon asking. Supervisor arranged for us from outside at his own cost. It is really a place where they make you to say ''WOW'' .

For such a tiny place, Cakes and Bakes has a pretty good selection. I'm a big fan of their fresh baked bread and the assortment of croissants. A friend ordered one of their cheesecakes for a birthday party, and I was delightfully surprised at its tastiness! It's often hard to find cakes in this region that compare to the kinds back home, but this place nailed it! Staff is always super friendly and helpful!

I have been several times at Blue Café during my one-month visit at Sulaymaniyah.
They serve good coffee and small dishes like salad or a Sandwich. The Blue Café is situated on the top-floor in the Rand Gallery near some other fast-food places and the Italian restaurant "Pronto" (also very good).

This hotel is located right on the outskirts of Sulaimani, and it is about a 5-10 minute drive to the airport and another 5 minute drive into the city proper. Most recently, Majidi Mall opened just across the street, so a visitor could easily walk to the mall and spend time there in the shops and various restaurants inside. In addition, the hotel has a buffet which is a bit pricey, but there are good and varied choices. It is also possible to rent out the pool for parties if you schedule ahead of time.
