A nice spot to dine. Above average in price not necessarily reflected on the plate but the meal was good. The bar can be a fun place to hang out in the evenings.

My boyfriend and I went to the Farris Bad Restaurant this Saturday ( we got the St.Valentine's Menu which is a fixed menu where you can only get to choose the main dish: either fish or meat). My experience was not as expected in such...MoreHi mangia_bcn So sorry to hear that you didn`t enjoy your stay and the restaurant experience. We will do what we can to get better and your words mean a lot to us. Thank you for sharing! Kind regards Julia Food & Beverage Korrdinator

Welcome to the summer restaurant in the Beecwood. The Town's idyllic front parlour.
Bøkekroa is idyllically situated in Norway's biggest beech-tree forest. A most beautiful, tranquil place, specially in Summer, when one can sit under the natural canopies, enjoying nice food, delicious cakes, etc. Ask for the Budapest cake with mandarin - it's probably one of Norway's best!

Seaside restaurant in Larvik. Full a la carte kitchen and authentic italian pizza.
Nice restaurant with good food and serviced minded waiter. Half our group had to wait a very long time for their food to arrive (pizzas). The waiter had warned us that pizzas could take some time, but I feel that the restaurant should try to improve on this point.

I love that place, I visited two days ago and I couldn't imagine how good it was. The decoration is very cute, the service polite and the pizza incredible!
I'm sure I will advise that place to my friends and I will come back again. If you are seeking a place to eat, go to "Det Gule Galleriet".

Nice atmosphere despite the strangeness of being an Indian restaurant in a typical Norwegian hytte-looking locale. I got some nice and fresh garlic naan, my lamb dish was pretty good but should have had more spicyness to it (I asked for "hot").

The decor and ambiance was like a Chinese restaurant from the movies. It had a cozy atmosphere and the food was also really good. We had fried rice, noodles, shrimp and fried vegetables. We highly recommend this place. It's by far the best Chinese restaurant we've eaten in since moving to Norway 3.5 years ago.

Perhaps I was hoping too much after Reading the existing reviews, but our experience was on the poorer part at this restaurant, maybe we were unlucky. If you think of this place as an Egon chain restaurant wannabe, and just want to fill your belly with food along with some beers (the latter being the main objective), then maybe you'll find it excellent. If you want a good food experience, you'll be disappointed.
The staff is friendly enough, but some are young and inexperienced, a bit on the slow side and missing that edge of effectiveness when there are a lot of customers. A plus for plenty of glasses and ice cubes for water and soft drinks. We were hungry, so we went straight for the main courses. A good gluten free pizza is not easy to make, and kudos for having it on the menu, but the one we got was far from done and still a bit raw in the dough. Our kid who loves gluten free pizza left over half of it. The burger our other kid ordered was dry, as in dry and hard to eat, so our burger-loving kid left over 3/4 of it and just had the fries. I had the lamb ytrefilet, and it was almost "not good, but just ok". But the baby carrots and green vegetables must have clearly come from a deep frozen package and then been overcooked as soft and tasteless as they were. The råstekte potatoes missed flavour and were still a bit raw in the middle. So the best thing we got in this three main course dinner for 630 NOK (including three soft drinks) were the fries, which were just average, and after all, how hard is it to make acceptable fries? Obviously we didn't have dessert here.
Well tempted to give 1/5 but I don't like to give the extreme ratings unless the place is, well, extreme. I hope for this restaurant's sake that they just had a bad day, because I just can't recommend it based on our experience.

I was travelling through Larvik and wanted a nice meal, which I found in Passatore. The food did indeed remind me of Italy, and service was friendly and attentive. The restaurant is small and intimate with relaxing decor. I'd like to try ti for a proper evening's meal with good wine - and possibly on an evening when there is operatic song to be heard?
