At the moment restaurant closed ! We open again April 2018.

Warm meals are served then between 11.00 to 21:00 . Monday and tuesday day-off . Very nice restaurant with good value for your money. The portions are very big and the quality is decent. They have a good childrens menu. There is a sea view allthough a bit limited, but at least I don't think you will be ripped off, which is quite easily done in the rest of the touristy St. Wolfgang. Restaurant is open from middle of April to middle of October and during Christmas-market!
What a great find- central situation and a fantastic menu. The garlic soup was totally scrummy. I had a vegetarian burger - was a bit apprehensive as veggie burgers can be bland and disappointing- but this was excellent. I sometimes struggle with menu options in Austria but they have an entire page devoted to veg options here as well as some huge meat dishes for the carnivores! Our waitress was delightful and really kind to the very tired little girl in our party. The prices were reasonable. In fact it was so good we are going back again tonight!!

Excellent food-schnitzel was lovely as was the goulash and the chips. Ice cold draft local beer and a lovely setting in a square about a minutes walk from the lake. Manager/owner and staff spoke English which was a bonus. Are outside but popped in and looked around and would be a great place to go in colder weather to eat inside from what I saw. Staged a week here and came back twice.

We have been coming to this hotel for 42 years which speaks for itself really! Over the years there have been many changes from the pool in the lake and outdoor jacuzzi to a whole new entrance to the hotel. We knew this year there...MoreMany many thanks for your review and compliments. It is good to hear that you like the changes we have made. We are looking very much forward to welcome you again Yours Gudrun Peter

The restaurant is part of the modern, boutique-style, 4-star-superior Hotel Cortisen. You will dine in the garden or on our Terrace with scenic views over the lake. Reservations essential!
This was a stunning dining experience in a trendy room at this hotel. The wait staff were courteous and did a wonderful job. The presentation had formality without being stuffy. The menu was only in German but the waiter quite happily translated each item for us. We shared a demi bottle of local Savi which was quite delightful and grew with the meals. We had breads with butter and paprika dip before an appetiser of ham foam with prosciutto and strawberries. Sounded odd but it worked. For entrée we had mushroom filled tortellini with prawns (BBQed) and asparagus and a paprika soup with a side stack of chorizo and zucchini which was stunning. For mains we had a white fish with mango and vanilla risotto and asparagus which was an unusual flavour combination but it worked. We also had a veal fillet with asparagus risotto and mushrooms. They were sensibly sized meals and lovely. Dessert was a chocolate mousse with strawberry foam and a sesame meringue. Our table had a rough wooden top and it made us think it came from a shipwreck which was quite cool, but made it awfully hard to balance the wine on. Overall a fantastic experience.

Dorf Alm is a traditional Bavarian dinner house with lots of wood. They have wooden tables and benches, with both inside and outside Seating. We happened to go on a Monday night which is entertainment night. They had a three-piece Bavarian band making the place very lively. Service was good and friendly.
I had the clear consomme with cheese dumpling. It was very good. My husband had the four different grilled meat plate. He said it was good; but too large.

One night stay with a group of friends in a trekking session across the 10 lakes surrounding Salzburg. Friendly hotel with very good breakfast. This hotel is in the centre of St. Wolfgang. Internet service is not very stable. If in summer, take the chance and swim with ducks and swans.

Super friendly and very happy to mix and match ingredients to suit personal taste. Good thin pizza bases with not too much tomato sauce ensuring the base retains crispness. Couldn't fault it.

This has to be as close as it gets to perfect, for eating/drinking out with small children. The location and view are otherworldly and there is an array of playthings for the kids. really good go-karts, two large trampolines, swings, see-saw, sandpit, even stilts and a unicycle! Unconfusingly small selection of drinks and snacks, but all great quality - mainly meats, cheeses, several homemade options. Anyone traveling to St Wolfgang with kids would be a fool to miss this place!

We decided to have lunch first before proceeding to Salzkamergutt and getting up to Dachsteinberg. We passed by this restaurant by the lake a very relaxing place with a cool view. The feel was fantastic and the food was superb.Thank you for your very kind feedback. If you pass St. Wolfgang one time again, we are happy to see you. Best regards Family Ellmauer & our Seeböcken staff

This is my second review about this place. They have wonderful food (although quite pricey), and the restaurant looks great. But...guys if you work there, please smile and act like you enjoy it! That has really put me off the last time...
