We welcome you to the historic Ceconi-Villa in Salzburg-Nonntal, only a short distance from the hustle and bustle of the City centre. Let us introduce you to the culinary delights of Salzburg with traditional and regional dishes presented by one of Austria’s leading chefs. It will be our pleasure to have your company.
The restaurant is located inside a grotto of Moenchsberg. Great ambience, courteous and attentive service. The food and the wine tasted excellent but given the extremely high price tag I expected more in terms of preparation and culinary ideas. We started with the steak tartare and the Alpensaibling. Both dishes were ok but nothing to rave about it. As entree we opted for deer and the Chateaubriand. The deer was excellent, the Chateaubriand was grilled as requested but was more on the small side. Overall good food but unfortunately grossly overpriced, therefore only 4 out of 5.

Restaurant Ikarus: A landing pad for top chefs A different top chef each month. It doesn‘t matter which continent or country they come from, whether it‘s the USA, South Africa or Japan. Or whether they serve traditional, fusion or molecular cuisine. What matters most is the variety. And, of course, the high quality of the dishes. Following its opening in 2003, Restaurant Ikarus launched one of the most ambitious projects in the world of international haute cuisine: the guest chef concept. Under the leadership of Executive Chef Martin Klein and patron Eckart Witzigmann, this concept sees the most creative and successful chefs in the world invited to Salzburg each month. Surrounded by the special glass architecture of Hangar-7 and the historic aeroplanes of the Flying Bulls, the concept is a unique experience for the senses.
This restaurant is based at the Red Bulls hangar. The place is amazing!! The restaurant is beautilfuly decorated and the service is perfect. The concept is to have a diferent grand chef every month. When I was there it was the portuguese José Avillezfrom restaurant Belcanto. So I intend to make a visit to tha restaurant next time I go to Lisbon

Really cute interiors, went because they had pourover coffee but their technique left something to be desired. The single origin coffee looked great on paper but the brew was a little over-extracted.

Enjoy authentic Austrian dishes, which are prepared according to traditional recipes using fresh seasonal ingredients. Our chef cook Alexander Rossberg interprets traditional dishes from the Salzburg and Styria's cuisine with a touch of daring. Special treats are our constantly changing seasonal offers. The dessert variations of our patisserie will make sweet hearts beat faster. Particularly popular and well known are our freshly made " Salzburger Nockerl ".
We shared a Steirische Brettljause - a splendid plate of meats, cheeses, gherkins, rilletes and a ball of something which turned out to be grated horseradish. Then the "frothy watercress soup" (€5.90) followed by "roast boar served with dumplings & confiture of cranberries" and "pork chop with rosemary-flavoured potatoes, roasted chanterelles & pepper sauce" (€13.80). A rather good bottle of Zweigelt from the Weingut Polz to help it all down (€25).

We ended up here after visiting Salzburg zoo (2 minutes far).
The restaurant is in the middle of nowhere but inside it is lovely.
The waiters warmly welcomed us. they gave us the italian menu (without errors!!!) and one of the waiters speaks italian too.
We ordered a soup and a couple of gulashes. Everything was really good. We finished the lunch with the typical Sacher. It was good (it can be improved, it was a bit too dry...).
In general, lovely place, lovely people, really recommended.

The Hotel Schlosswirt zu Anif is located on the outskirts of Salzburg, just 15 minutes from the historic old town. It is a family-run hotel full of charm and a lot of Austrian tradition. The classy interior in the newly adapted Biedermeier rooms and warm hospitality create a special atmosphere. The Restaurant is renowned for its typical Austrian cuisine and places great emphasis on the use of local products. Arrive, relax and unwind!
More or less discovering the restaurant by chance, we just a small set menu dinner, but we were very much surprised by the excellent food and service of the restaurant. Then we found out why.
The restaurant, operating since 1607, currently sports 14 Gault Millau points. Don't miss it.

A cozy slow food restaurant with regional and hungarian specialties driven by the Family Horvath.
This restaurant was quite close to our B&B on a recent stay in Salzburg. We enjoyed it so much we ate there twice! This was definitely not a tourist place since we seemed to be the only non-locals on both visits. We knew the food might be interesting when we walked up and saw a drum of Gulasch cooking over a fire in front of the place. The owners are an Austrian wife and a Hungarian husband (who is also the chef) so the food is split between the two cuisines. The chef did both hearty food and delicate food nicely. We sampled both Hungarian (Debreceni, Bratwurst) and Austrian (Frankfurter) sausages and salamis for appetizers. The Gulasch was wonderful and the Cordon Bleu Schnitzerl was outstanding. We ordered off the specials menu the second night and enjoyed dishes with veal, pork, and beef. Desserts were a strawberry roulade on the first night, tasty bread pudding with vanilla-poppy seed sauce and one “berg” of Salzburger Nockerl with raspberries on the second. The wine list was short but had interesting local selections that were reasonably priced for the quality. We even got to meet the chef on our way out. This place was a wonderful discovery!

Right in the center of Bad St. Leonhard in beautiful Carinthia lies the amazing 3 star restaurant of the Trippolt's family. Father and son, working side by side in the kitchen, serving you the best of the best. A place to visit for excellent dining in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. You really have the feeling that you are a rewarded guest. The food is excellent and the wines are all from the region and fit perfectly well. Dining there is not cheap but it is worth every cent. A place worth visiting.

Coming here again, this time for Christmas eve, we hoped to have a decent lunch. They were packed and as a result their service was slow and rude while the food was overcooked and lousy too.
It really should be 1 star rating but the location and nice decor keeps it above.
There is plenty of other places to consider as this place is no longer that good at all.
