Very limited vegetarian choices, and what they offer is “typical”. I opted for the veggie burger, which was (way) overly seasoned with cumin. I like cumin, but not when it’s all I can taste. Still, the beer is good, the nachos are delicious, and nothing beats their atmosphere, especially on the back patio in the summer. Getting on and off Sooke Road can be a pain (and dangerous!); be sure to look both ways!

The place is very charming, we went there end of November, it was quiet, not too many people around. The restaurant was highly recommended to us and has great publicity. The chef and his approach to the food is exceptional. The presentation is very artistic but that's all I can say about our experience. It's very expensive and our expectation was that the dishes will leave us with a great experience/memories since that was for my wife birthday. Well that didn't happen, we don't have that feeling or memories of our dinner.
The service was fine, nothing outstanding and the place is just lovely. Maybe at another time it might be different. Just be aware that it's fine dining.

Pizzability makes great american style pizza with mostly fresh ingredients. The prices are fair in regard to the huge amount of food you get. The lunch menu is not extensive, but it does offer diverse fare, and we did our best to try out most of it. For the Sandwich lover, there is the Croque Monsieur, which is a Parisian speciality that Point-No-Point has mastered. It is a grilled Sandwich of Emmental cheese, ham, and caramelized onions served on molasses bread with a touch of dijon mustard. If wraps are more your thing, then the Yam, Black Bean and Feta croquettes are substantial and, for meat lovers, chicken or bacon can be added. Alternately, the cured pork loin with apple compote is served over a hash of potato, creamy sauerkraut and roasted squash and may be the ultimate expression of warm comfort food. I opted for the Grilled Marinated Wild Salmon, which is served over a bed of mixed greens with a beautiful parsnip strudel. The salad is drizzled with a golden gastrique made of local Tugwell honey, which also sweetens a generous dollop of surprisingly mild horseradish mousse. This sweetness complemented perfectly the savoury salmon and strudel.

The Stone Pipe Grill is located on the main road through Sooke. We came here one evening for dinner. The menu is very varied, with a small selection of dishes from different ethnic cuisines. Pasta dishes, Chinese, Thai, diner favourites, plus the usual burgers, etc. Our waitress, Chelsea, was very friendly and brought us menus promptly. Our orders arrived quickly, as did our drinks order.

The name of this coffee house caught our eye. It is a very eclectic, funky place to relax. The latte was beyond good it was excellent and it went down way too quickly. The chocolate chip coconut cookie was amazing and the Buzznuts we're deliciously light, satisfying and not too sweet.
We hadn't been to Sooke for over 30 years so had no idea where to go for a great coffee. This is the place to go!!

Great way to spend a long lunch after kayaking. Food was quite delicious and they offer a decent assortment of local cold beer. Service was a bit slow, however we weren't in a rush, so sit back and enjoy.

We five women enjoyed a great lunch of calamari, salmon spring rolls, tuna & paninis at the Smokin' Tuna Restaurant in Becher Bay, Sooke, B.C. Although the owner/chef/waiter/cashier was very busy, he managed to serve us a delicious meal with complimentary cookies & ice cream as dessert. It was a beautiful day, we sat outside, the view is fantastic. After the meal, we fed the seals from the dock! :-)
