What a wonderful meal we have just had, as a family of four. They offer just two, 3-course menus, though you can mix and match between them. Portions are generous, food is divine and arrives beautifully presented. They use stunningly fresh ingredients, nothing fussy or over done; huge care and attention is taken in selection of ingredients and presentation. It's imaginative and delicious. It is deservedly booked up every night, we emailed from England ahead of our stay and they were very happy to book us in on our of our nights in the area. The staff are very friendly and helpful which all adds up to a great evening.

This restaurant is located in the old school of the village and has both indoor and outdoor Seating. They use local fresh ingredients for their crêpes and galettes, but they also serve European wine and French cider. To further emphasize the local touch, the names of the galettes and crêpes come from the characters in the novels by a late local author. You can only reserve a table in the evenings, so if you arrive during the afternoon, there is a risk that you may have to wait for a table to become available. The tables have different shapes and sizes, which is part of the old-fashioned atmosphere of the place. We arrived in the early afternoon and all tables seemed occupied, but we were lucky to find two available seats at a table where a couple of other guests kindly let us sit. In the menu there was a note about waiting time for the galettes and crêpes, so be prepared to just sit and relax while waiting for the food. Staff were nice and service-minded, despite the busy time, and once we had sat down, it didn’t take long before one of them came to take our order. We had to wait for a while for the food, but it wasn’t that long. We had one galette each: “Lord Wateregg” (minced beef, sundried tomatoes, feta, cheese, garlic mushrooms, onion, sour cream) and “Vricklund” (chicken, cheese, garlic mushrooms, tomatoes, onion, spinach, Dijon cream). They were both very tasty and delicious. This is a restaurant we gladly return to.

We invite you to a cosy and homely atmosphere. At our place you can stay in a lovely room, have vegetarian dishes, tasty meat and fish and delicious desserts!
Had two good (not excellent no) open sandwiches the Danish style for lunch. Service was fast and the glass screens (protecting the outdoor diners from the wind) were lowered without fuss at our request.
Had a great low alcohol beer from Ystad (Charlie?) as per recommnedation which went great with the fermented herring and rye bread.
Would eat here again.

Very friendly staff, helped us with the menu as we speak no Swedish. Well made authentic Italian pizza from a wood fired oven, but with a local twist to the toppings. Nice Peroni beer on tap. Watched the first half of England v Wales, only ourselves and the staff left, very nice atmosphere. Throughly recommended.

In the heart of the city, at relatively busy road this small cafe is idle to bask in open air/sun while sipping a hot cup of coffee. It has nice snacks too like pastry or cakes. Small but effective treatment for relaxation if you are tired roaming in the city.

Whenever I am in Simrishamn, I have at least one meal at Piri Piri. Friendly atmosphere, fresh ingredients, and generous portions. A great place to eat with kids. Excellent pizzas and amazing falafel. Really well served plates with fries, salad, and delicious sauces. Tired of all the seafood in Osterlen? Then run to Piri Piri. Simrishamn is lucky to have a place like Piri Piri.

It is also called Nya Rὅkeriet.
This is the second time I have visited this place for lunch - very impressed both times!
You queue up to order and pay and they will bring the order when ready. There is an outside Terrace (for when the wind is not blowing which is rare in this part of the world!).
The first time we had Fried Herring - never had better - the second time we had the daily dish, which was a Salmon, perfectly cooked.
This is certainly the best fish restaurant on the entire east and south coast of Skania!

Me and my wife have visited Hickory Bar & Grill a couple of times and each time it gets better and better.
The food is excellent and and exciting and service is good!
I ordered the Beef Tartar for starter and its one of the best I've had so far.
For main course I ate roasted duck breast and it was also prepared just the way you want it, tender and juicy with great flavor.
Other than that they have live entertainment with singing and playing instruments to make your evening as pleasant as possible.
Hickory is a case of an unpolished diamond. A bit rough on the outside but excellent food and service once you go inside.
I really recommend giving this place a try if you're visiting Österlen!
