Looking for a stopover driving from Brisbane to Geelong. Tripadvisor recommended this place and it was spot on.
Shepparton is a great town. Busy but well organised, complete opposite of Dubbo.
The lemon tree was easy to find and I got an easy park for my big ute a bock away. It's got terrible visibility rearwards and is quite long.
The cafe was REALLY busy, and a bit noisy, but that's about the only negative. They are flat out because they are offering a superb experience. Prices are great, food is exceptional, service was superb. Decent toilets out the back, fairly comfortable Seating. A really good experience.
We basically had cake and coffee but saw the meals coming out. It was all great. Lots of happy customers..

We went there for lunch, on a whim, attracted by the building, [ which was once a Church or Chapel], and secondly by it's name.
We were welcomed and seated, [no reservation and it was Sunday Lunchtime]. The place was very busy with all age groups. Young children were kept entertained with colouring-in sheets and crayons. Some of their artwork pinned to a board by the counter is a nice touch. The coffee is very good and so is the food. We only had a small lunch as we'd had a biog, cooked breakfast at our hotel, but we watched other diners enjoying bigger plates and nothing was going back unfinished. A super casual, friendly place that we'll return to, the next time we visit the town.

Being vegetarian we had the Tuscan roast veg. Seasonal greens and plate of buttery mashed potatoe. All perfectly cooked and well presented. A bottle of Heathcote Shiraz was about $50 and staff though inexperienced were trying very hard. Good to see younger staff getting a...MoreThank you for your feedback. Yes we try to help young staff to get some experience.

A great atmosphere and wonderful host. Shared a number of dishes between 4 friends. The oysters were delicious and the lamb cacciatore a highlight. The affogatto an excellent finish. Angelo really knows how to look after his patrons.

The Teller Collective restaurant offers quality dining for lunch Wed-Sat & dinner Tues-Sat. We make the best of available local & seasonal produce.
Socially noisy, casual and popular dining. We were back after awhile and good to see the menu had changed somewhat and expanded. You'd probably want some specials on occasion or seasonal menus if you are local. The food is still of a high quality and freshness.
Had 4 of the smaller options and 3 salad/veg between two. The salads were very enjoyable - not to be overlooked - zucchini and the fennel dishes particularly.
The terrine was a highlight as was the liver parfait and well presented but probably too similar to do both. The salmon was good but the horseradish accompaniment was hardly that and the Beetroot hardly there at all.
The grilled octopus tasted pre cooked and reheated - a travesty for mine - as is the austere interior decor and 'art'.
Wine list good, bread on the side excellent and staff just attentive enough on a busy night. Very well priced.
Surely one of Shep's better offerings in a small field.

The restaurant was very busy, which is usually a good sign. The decor was very hipster and the clientele, while featuring people of all ages, was mostly young. I enjoyed the large screen TV mounted high on the wall and the living walls out in the back room, which were visible from my table. The service was very friendly and efficient. I ordered poached eggs on sourdough with mushrooms and wilted spinach and I mostly enjoyed it, although the spinach was incredibly salty for some reason. It was a very hot day and they obviously needed to leave the door open for the aircon to operate. Unfortunately this meant there were lots of flies buzzing around and landing on people's food. May be worth investing in a screen door?

Strange location, short trading hours, and small menu don't initially sound appealing but this place serve up great home style Thai food. We tried a curry, stir fry and dessert and enjoyed them all. Roti was a tad doughy though.
If it's warm sit in the garden.

We walked in for some Takeout after a 6 hour drive needing some wholesome food. The service was incredibly friendly and kind. The food is awesome and the serves were more than generous. The three prices are super reasonable. This place is worth a trip to Shepparton alone

Join us at the Food Store for breakfast, lunch, coffee & our wide range of house made cakes & slices. Thursday, Friday & Saturday nights try our Antipasto & Woodfire Pizzas from 5pm.
It was difficult to decide what to have for lunch as there were many temptations. Several of us opted for the Thai style ,minced chicken salad (chicken larp). It was delicious with lots of fresh herb flavours. Another friend chose the freekah salad with slow cooked lamb which she really liked. The service was prompt and friendly. As we were leaving we also bought some mini lemon curd tarts. It is good to see restaurants offering mini sized treats instead of giant sized portions.

This was our favorite in Shep, but it has become too expensive, and the meals value has dropped a long way. We had the Pad Thai with prawns, 4 tiny prawns, almost a vegetarian dish. Tasted great, but the amount of prawns was an insult. We won't be back.
And $11.50 for a small glass of wine, seriously? That would have paid for the bottle. Very disappointing, what has happened to our favourite restaurant?
