We are staying nearby and have enjoyed meals here both as a couple and with visiting family. Staff are always friendly and accommodating. We have tried quite a few dishes and found all to be delicious , fish particularly so. Can recommend the grilled salmon or grilled Robalo , the prawns with spaghetti is also very good. My husband tried the Portuguese bread stew with prawns, and although it was not the most appetising to look at tasted very nice and had loads of prawns. Thoroughly recommend for either lunch or dinner, good that they stay open in the afternoon so no need to wait till 7pm for the restaurant to open as most others in the area.

We had the garlic bread which came generously coated with cheese and really tasting to fresh garlic. For mains I had the house pizza "Portobello" made with pepperoni, bacon and basil. Visually mouth watering, it was well baked, with the right amount of cheese and tomato. For desert, the tiramisu was average being a bit bland.
In an area where fish and seafood are kings, this Italian restaurant is a nice alternative.

During a recent holiday in Sao Martinho do Porto, we visited this restaurant a few times. The staff were always very friendly and atmosphere nice and relaxed. What sets this restaurant apart from anything I have experienced to date, is the absolutely fresh fish on offer.
The service was efficient and friendly. Wine, well chilled and an all-round great experience. Will certainly be back.

Restaurant overlooking the sea, with award-winning cuisine.
Three and a half stars overall, maybe a bit harsh but although everything was mostly fine here, it was a bit strange.
A nice location at the end of the harbour, a great view of the seafront, and friendly service. Decor not too posh, but really just what you'd expect, a nice local restaurant vibe. The Royal Marina fits in with its surroundings nicely. We went for a midweek lunch. The menu is short, and that's OK if as you'd expect it's dependent on the catch from the local fleet each day.
Nothing really too much to complain about food wise, but as I said it was a bit odd somehow. Dining companion had beef steak, I had a tuna steak (true vegetarians can forget it here). Both decently cooked, but both came with an eclectic selection of vegetables: cauliflower, broccoli, carrots and weirdest of all Brussels sprouts. I don't think I've ever had tuna with sprouts before - I cannot say it is an as yet undiscovered taste sensation. Didn't really work with the entrecôte either. On a classic British Sunday roast this would have all been perfect, but on a Portuguese seafront it didn't quite fit.
Its entirely possible we just visited at the wrong time, and made the wrong choices from the menu. But on our experience, food fine, location great, service good, but overall only average.

My wife and I enjoyed dining at the restaurante Naco na Pedra. We did not opt for cooking our steaks on a stone. It's a house specialty but I prefer having the chef do the work. The rib steak that I ordered was done perfectly. It was huge. My wife ordered one of the special fillets in sauce. it too was lovely. The side dishes that we ordered included a local bread crumb and kale salad that was a bit salty for my taste but it was also good.
Too full for dessert but had a nice Portuguese red with the steaks.
Lovely service. We worked through our limited Portuguese vocabulary ( and their limited English) with no issues.
Would return.

Visited as we stopped off on a cycle tour. The waitress was a very pleasant and helpful young lady who recommended an excellent starter of cheese with honey, which was delicious. We had mixed grilled fish and tiger prawns with garlic and coriander. Both dishes were cooked to perfection. The tiramisu was excellent as was the coffee. A fantastic meal. The house white wine was very good. Highly recommended and great value for money.

Not the place to go for an intimate dining experience. It is reminiscent of a large school cafeteria. Large open kitchen. The restaraunt is very brightly lit with many fluorescent lights and the sound bounces everywhere so it's quite noisy. That's the downside. The upside is that the food that we ordered was great. We had half portions of the wild boar and grilled fish. Both were delicious especially The Wildboar. The side dishes were also generous and good. The bottle of wine selected by our waiter was perfect and dessert was good. Overall the food was great and a great value. Service was also excellent and some of the Waitstaff spoke English quite well so there were no issues discussing our order.
Certainly worth a return visit.

After seeing the high recommendations we looked forward to our visit. We waited too long for drinks and food. When ordering the tapas selection, we were told that there was no meat! In a Tapas???? When our food arrived, part of our order was missing and we were told it was too late to order again! A huge disappointment and I am afraid we will not be back!

We visited this restaurant for lunch after a morning spent on the beach; the view over the beach is wonderful. The waiting staff were somewhat slow and disinterested as we waited for nearly 10 minutes before we were approached with menus and asked whether we wanted drinks. As we had a 7 year old with us we would have appreciated quicker service as children of this age soon become bored. Eventually, drinks orders were taken and the food when it arrived was really very good and worth the wait. In summary, good food but the staff could be more attentive and aware of customers requirements. Would I go again? Maybe, if I had plenty of time and no children present.
