Two of us had a memorable lunch outside overlooking the estuary. No frills table set up atop a barrel but the food was as good as it gets. Langoustines, large shrimp, fried fish and sliced seared tuna were all fantastically fresh and incredibly tasty and let me add that the waiter's recommendation for a chilled half bottle of Manzanillo sherry to wash it down was absolutely spot on. About 100 euro for two, but totally worth the price and definitely one of the best twenty meals of my life. Don't miss this place.

Our cuisine is based on the enhancement of local and seasonal products. Manzanilla sherry and fine tapas
For lunch we chose lots of dishes that we shared and went for mostly fish dishes as Sanlucar is famous for it’s seafood. We had about half the menu! tuna tartare, russian salad with tuna, baby broad beans with wild mushrooms, red mullet with quinoa, whiting fritters with tartare sauce and to finish it all off chocolate fondant with peanut toffee sauce and panna cotta icecream. The food here is fantastic and exciting, he is a very accomplished chef making imaginative dishes, every dish was delicious, well thought out and executed. For the level of cooking and quality of the ingredients the prices for the food and wine are very reasonable. The restaurant itself is in a lovely old building with a mixture of Seating options, some tables indoors, some bar style tables and stools and some tables in an outside patio area. Staff are great and although clearly busy the chef took the trouble to come and say hello to us which was a lovely gesture. We honestly can’t wait to return here and see what new culinary creations he puts on the menu.

Located in the lower district of Sanlúcar de Barrameda, very close to the bullring. Founded in 1947, since its inception, we have been a family restaurant, with friendly treatment to our customers and where you can taste the fried pescaíto, our hallmark. We also work seafood, seafood stews, dressings and dishes combined. We work with groups, excursions and travel agencies. We have two large dining rooms with capacity for more than 250 people. We also prepared to take all the dishes of our menu.
Favorite place for seafood. Children welcome and both of mine (3 and 7 years) eat well everytime. Fish is fresh, everything well prepared and served rapidly. Can't be best for price/quality/service. Good for casual dining or any type of meal (friends/family/business) or to show off...MoreGood afternoon Jonathan L, first of all thank the time you have placed in our local review. It is always flattering to read your opinion about our work. We are happy to serve you again.

"Puerta de la Victoria" is a tipical restaurant where you can to eat all you want. It's in the center of the city near "Plaza del Cabildo".
The food in this tapas bar/restaurant is visually stunning and a delight to eat. When we visited it we had a dish for 2 which was more than enough. Beautifully cooked slices of ox with potato slices finished in olive oil plus a green salad, followed by desserts which were stunningly delicious. We were so impressed we went back to try a fish dish - equally excellent. This is a must place to eat!

Sanlucar is the place to come for seafood especially prawns. We tried lots of fishy tapas dishes: red mullet, squid, anchovies to start with then treated ourselves to some langostinos from Sanlucar which were charged by weight. Although one of more expensive things on the menu, they are actually terrific value as the quality and freshness was fantastic and they were cooked to perfection. If you don’t mind not being right on the seafront then this is the place to come for great value, delicious seafood. Even with our luxury prawns our bill was incredibly reasonable, to have the equivalent meal on the seafront would cost you twice as much I expect. Will definitely be coming back here again next time we are in Sanlucar, lovely waiter and full of locals which is always a good sign with any restaurant.

Open Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays (July and August, we opened from thursday to sanday). La Taberna El Loli is a saleroso Andalusian and Spanish restaurant cuisine located in the old town of Cadiz population of Sanlucar, in the Barrio Alto. It nestles in a simple, cozy and friendly place, ideal for leisurely enjoy a good meal. All this local dishes are prepared following step by step the true recipes from yesteryear, home and traditional recipes of all life, prepared as formerly to.
Taberna El Loli is our favourite restaurant in Sanlucar and one we have regularly visited in the 10 years of living here. They have also recently opened a sister restaurant in Valdelagrana in El Puerto de Santa de Maria with a slightly shorter menu but it is also very good.
The service is always professional and friendly. We love the food which is better value than very similar restaurants located on the Bajo de Guia and above all we value the consistency of the dining experience there.
Our favourite dishes are the grilled fish (tuna, corvina), coquinas (small clams) in garlic, the cigalas (Dublin bay prawns) in garlic and any of the fried fish dishes. On Friday night we also tried the grilled Sargo (type of sea bream) which was delicious. Their jamon is excellent. They also do a variety of meat dishes including beef fillet steak which are very good. The only point to be aware of is the tendency to over salt dishes (stews especially) so we usually ask for less salt when placing an order for grilled fish or meat.
They have a quite extensive wine list and also do a range of sherries by the glass. There is the usual list of desserts plus a tarta de platanos (banana tart) which is a version of banoffee pie and also bizcocho de datiles (sticky toffee pudding) which is the closest we have ever had to the English dessert in Spain!
The restaurant is located in Barrio Alto, the high part of town and away from the main tourist areas but is still within about a 10 minute walk of Sanlucar's main square, Plaza Cabildo.

Tavern located in the city center, a 2 'Cabildo Square, next to the parish of Santo Domingo. The place dates back to the sixteenth century, it belonged to the Convent of the Dominican Order. You can still continue to appreciate the rest of it, like the cover of stone found at the bottom of the room and that was the entrance to the convent. Today belongs to the Heirs winery prestijiosa Argueso signature. You can taste their best manzanilla branch. The "E" and Chip, in addition to its flagship San Leon and San Leon Reserva de Familia and young white Vina del Carmen. We also have traditional tapas Sanlucar, imnovadoras tapas and specialty of the house. "Bluefin Tuna Almadraba" we get merge with Spanish cuisine with Japanese. Our customers rate us as "an alternative to more of the same" or "A different place" and press "A tuna island dedicated to land shrimp" (ABC). With a year of life, our business is located and among the top 12 references of our province to taste Almadraba Bluefin Tuna. Our motto is "Tradition and imnovacion".
Strange to find a tapas Taberna serving Sushi on Friday & Saturday nights. But they were very good and a pleasant surprise

Have been to many Sanlucar fish restaurantsin the past and have never been disappointed, so expected no less from this place. And so it turned out. Great value, prompt and cheery service, helps I suppose to have Spanish as some Brits left within 5 mins because the menu was not in English. Their loss. Excellent bottle of local wine, very aromatic and refreshing and superb swordfish, Great olives and bread and a tasty free(!) starter. Like others was disappointed that they don't do coffee but not a big issue. Just means that you get to go to a second nice place.

You always hope that both the quality of the food and the quality of the service are perfect, and this one comes close. We had excellent langostinas, a local speciality, with a bottle of Manzanilla sherry, which is also local (is not allowed to be from any other place). After that we had the arroz marinero, also very good. The service was excellent, and the restaurant appears to be very well organised, which is always a pleasure. Nice outdoor Seating with a view on the river, and all the Spanish guests.
