Firstly loved the decor, but found the noise levels to be super loud. At times trying to converse with our friends was a challenge.
The service was in my opinion is staged. I had read a number of reviews that differed between don't bother, to amazing. Personally I would say it depends what you are looking for. There was live music but where we sat nearer to the bar, some of the time it was so loud I was unable to differentiate the tune which was a shame. My intention would have been to dance. However, the music goes off early - this could be to do with local by laws. Either way, if you want to dance - eat early and you can enjoy the entertainment.
We chose a variety of starters and mains - most were good. The ones I found to be below standard were a plate of squid that was chewy (overcooked), and a main of a prawn curry which tasted sour and had around an inch and a half of the gravy and a few measly prawns at the bottom of the bowl. Had we not been hosting for our friends it would have gone back to the kitchen.
Having read another review on ordering a gin and tonic with ice and lemon - I had the same experience in that - they took an age after giving me the gin and the tonic to sort out the ice and lemon - they had to be asked twice. For a high end restaurant this should not occur.
Overall we were glad we had tried it but wouldn't jump up and down to go back as the food elsewhere is better in a lot of cases.
In a nutshell style over substance comes to mind

We stayed in Colva for 4 nights and we had lunch and dinner at Micky’s every day.
We really loved the atmosphere and the food there. Al the waiters were so nice and the place very clean.
It’s our first time in Goa so we really enjoyed the fantastic advices regarding choices of food.
We highly recommend this place.

The perfect place for a relaxing holiday. Room g05 was situated on the ground floor overlooking the pool. Room was spacious with amazing air con, cleaned daily, mini bar and freshtowels daily. Pool area was peaceful in the mornings but could get busy later in the day. The boys would bring extra beds out if needed. The omelettes at breakfast are freshlycooked and delicious. At the restaurant the menu was varied. I would recommend you try the greeny prawns a favourite of ours. Thank you joecons for a fab holiday. We'll be back xx

We have eaten at Fishka on many occasions and never been disappointed. Service is excellent, choice varied and atmosphere great. This year we had a table booked for Valentine’s night the place was packed. There was a saxophonist playing who was very good and each table was given a red rose. Food was excellent. Highly recommended!

Personal service by Sam himself. you can call and order the fish you want and if they keep you waiting too long they even give you prawn wafers as starters on the house so you arent so hungry.

Seafood is good. moderate pricing. Tried twice; in evening. They have weekly off, check before arriving. You may miss it during the day, as it is located little inside from the road. During the night you can see a signboard with proper lights.

Nostalgia serves authentic Goan and Indo Portuguese cuisine served in a semi formal dining style. We have been awarded best food in our category for the last 5 years consecutively. We have a full service bar, with a range of spirits and cocktails. The ambience is representative of old Portuguese homes and decor, with indoor and al fresco Seating options. We have live music 6 times a week, ranging from Karaoke and instrumental Saxophone days to retro and evergreen dancing nights. Check our facebook page Nostalgia for updates on the week's events.
This lovely little place in a small village bylane off the Margao-Ponda Highway in South Goa, can only be found either by word of mouth or through reviews posted by kind souls on Internet sites like Tripadvisor and finally by using the goodness of Google Maps.
The reviews I read were great. The food was better. The ambience, service, food and music resonate with an aura and charm of the good old times when life was pure, simple and unadultrated by the excesses of modern life.
The service is earnest, kind and efficient. The food is all Goan and Gluttony Inducing . Most other diners while we were at the restaurant were locals. This speaks volumes for the quality and authenticity of the food. We had chorizos, beef chilly fry, mackerels shallow fried with reshad masala, mutton xaguti and bibinca. My 4 year old is a discerning connoisseur or good food and at his age, has no knowledge of and is unaffected by reputations. He loved the food and ate well.
The place and it's late founder have a little bit of culinary history. You may want to read the newspaper cutouts that you would find at one end of the restaurant. This would add some context to the food and what the owners are trying to do here.
And yes, the music and and singing was lovely too.
My only little grouse is that they didn't have ox tongue in the kitchen today. Now that leaves something for the next time. I'll be back.

Went here twice for dinner with family and friends. Probably the nicest restaurant in Colva. It was run by a couple from the East Midlands who trained at the College of Food and Art in Birmingham. Lovely food and very well presented. Would highly recommend this place.
