CHEF FRANCIS WOLF'S AMBITIOUS TERROIR-DRIVEN QUEBEC CUISINE Le Hatley Restaurant at Manoir Hovey, a lakeside Relais & Châteaux property, reflects Chef Wolf's passion for the region's history, its bounty, and its natural beauty. His culinary philosophy is inspired by what he has identified as seven distinct seasonal flavor profiles that celebrate the ingredients that are abundant in Quebec's rivers, lakes, forest and fields.
Le Manoir Hovey. Service is acceptable but certainly not exceptional. The menu looks wonderful on paper but is painfully disappointing to the palette, so much so I had to send my desert back. It was lemon sorbet with white chocolate mousse. I asked the server to come to my table. I quietly said, "This is inedible ". She smiled and said "I know" , then removed the dish. She asked if I would like to try the Black Forest cake. I said sure. It actually had small mushrooms and tree moss on it. I appreciate the artistic quality and the originality, but again, I literally could not eat it. Who puts mushrooms and twigs in chocolate cake?
Many modern restaurants are trying to find the thin line where food and art can comfortably coexist as one. I appreciate what Le Manoir Hovey is attempting. However, unless our meal was an outlier, they have drastically missed the mark. The food is quite simply terrible and the prices are outrageous!!! My wife and I had an inexpensive bottle of wine, we both ordered the table d'hôte, and our check came to $350.
We will NOT be returning anytime soon.

We love this restaurant so much we have been bringing friends and family from Montreal to try it out. Everyone has been delighted so far!
The staff of waiters, bartenders and hosts are extremely attentive. They make the whole experience so enjoyable! The menu is filled with local delicacies served in a fancy manner. All the plates are well presented, delicious and are always spot on with the flavor combinations. I've tasted the gourmet menu over the seasons and it's always been perfect!
They add some little attentions such as bringing a little stool for the ladies' purses! The mise en bouches are delicious and varied so that there is something for everyone's taste. They also have a variety of local cheeses from which you can choose from. The desert bar is also a really nice added touch. Even though we are always full when we get there, it's so nice to have some little sweet things to bring back home or to the hotel for later.
The only downside for us was that on several occasion they were out of the wine that we were after from their wine card. We still ended up being recommended great alternatives which we absolutely loved!
Little tip! The menu is very similar to the one from Europea in downtown Montreal, but much much less expensive! So if you've been considering going but can't afford it, I would highly recommend trying out Le Cellier du Roi - absolutely worth it for the experience alone! And of course to witness the chef's expertise at building such a fabulous menu!
We highly recommend and will visit again!

A great place to meet with friends and enjoy a meal that will surprise you! Our Chef works with products from the region and offers a menu that changes as seasons pass by. You will need to follow us to find out more on his new ventures. Take note, it will be our pleasure to adapt our menu to fit allergie needs, gluten or lactose intolerance. We are now certified Terroirs et Saveurs and Aliments du Québec au menu.
We stayed and ate here on a half board package (room, dinner and breakfast).
Only the two of us and one other guest but the food was excellent (tasty, well-prepared and presented) and so was the proprietress/hostess's friendly service.
What is amazing is that the chef de cuisine - the hostess's partner - was a plumber who offered to step in when her previous chef left.
Breakfast is a very nice, delicious 3 course affair so you won't leave hungry.
Definitely have the duck. It was cooked a bit more done than we're used to French style (rare) but it was still excellent.
Limited but good value wine list.

The service was stellar, and the place was not crowded on this Saturday night, around 6:30 p.m. Nice classy setup, romantic set up with Italian music playing.
We enjoyed the veal Marsala and penne with Italian sausage. We felt the food wasn't authentic Italian food; it was tasty, but...

We were so excited to try this restaurant, but we were disappointed. The restaurant was clean, the service was goo and the wait was not long, but the food was warm. The hamburger bun was hard. The food was ordinary.

What a fabulous restaurant! This was my favorite meal of our recent vacation to Canada. The menu was very intriguing with entree combinations that sounded a little unconventional and turned out to taste fantastic. I had tuna tartare for my entree--that was divine. The meal was creatively and beautifully presented. They somehow created a beet wonton stuffed with tuna as well (it looked cool and tasted great). My husband went with the duck, which he also loved. The service was very attentive. Can't wait to return.

On a lonely Wednesday evening (-25 degres) this place is fully packed! This restaurant is located in what seems a older house. Apparently, parking is a little challenging but we walked from our b&b. It's very cozy and rustic. No luxurious feeling. Interesting variety of...MoreThank you!

Restaurant Pinocchio offers French bistro inspired dishes in a warm and inviting atmosphere.A pleasant destination for both its chic and friendly decor as well as the restaurant's beautiful Terrace where it feels good to spend time on sunny days. With favorites such as crème brulée, chocolate mi-cuit and cheesecake, it's nearly impossible not to succumb to dessert. And, of course, be ready to discover the meaning of exquisite wine-food pairings with our carefully assembled wine list.Looking forward having you as guests,Restaurant Pinocchio's team
Nice decor and great, attentive service. The menu broadcasts a better experience than what is actually delivered though. Oyster platter appetizer was as expected, so far, so good. Calamari appetizer had an odd pasty texture to it (fresh and cooked right, they should have this firm yet tender texture, and cooked too much ends up with a harder, rubbery texture. Could not quite place what happened to these). My daughter loved the salmon carpaccio, where I found the beef carpaccio, requested spicy, rather bland. An uneven Delivery for what we tasted. Prices are in line with similar establishments.

Beautiful restaurant in a former factory- with a nice decor and fabulous service. Great choice of different cheese and Chinese fondues. A good option for kids menu which includes the chocolate fondue ! One thing to remember - you bring your own wine ! Two SAQs are a short drive away in the event you forget your wine.
All fondues are served with a large portion of salad, fresh veggies and crispy potatoes.
Best selection so far has been the #1 cheese fondue with pink pepper.
We'll be back !

The Bistro 4 saisons, located in the Espace 4 seasons hotel, offers refined and unique European-style dishes with the best of Quebec products. The restaurant is accessible to all. It is not reserved for hotel guests.
We felt very well looked after from the moment we arrived at the Bistro 4 Saisons. Things only got better once the food arrived. The starters of grilled scallops (with strawberries -
great combination) and beetroot soup of the day were delicious, but they were topped by the venison and the scallop and shrimp risotto mains. Everything was beautifully presented and cooked perfectly. The venison was pink but succulent and oozing flavour.
The total including drinks came to about 70 CAD per head - well worth it for the service, the dishes and the overall experience.
