Iconic restaurant with stunning views over the water, dining on the new dock over the carribean sea or in the comfort of the A/C Patio overlooking the ocean.Creative menu featuring fresh local seafood, Italian cuisine with home made pastas, home made bread and desserts. Private wine cellar with over 150 different wines from around the world and able to sit for lunch or dinner 20 people.
We made a point of coming here although it was30 minutes from our hotel (a long way on Grand Cayman) and we weren’t disappointed. The atmosphere on the dock at night was unique with the sea gently breaking on the rocks below. The service was...MoreThank you very much for taking the time to tell us about your positive experience at the lighthouse and we look forward to see you back again. ciao Giuseppe

WE return to over the Edge every visit. Always good dining on th porch with ocean breezes and local dishes such as the Mahi plate, which never disappoints. Always have fond memories of the original Edger in Bodden Town prior to hurricane Ivan

Hadn't visited for a while so reserved for Sunday evening dinner. Not overly busy and yet service was ridiculously fast; no time to digest first course as waiter standing over the table ready to serve main courses whilst first course plates were cleared. Great location, really good food but they appear to have policy of clearing diners through as quickly as possible, even when not busy, which takes the edge of what would otherwise be a really good dining experience.

The night started perfectly after escaping the mosquitos on our bicycle ride. The appetizers were good with the conch bites being the best on the planet. Prices weren't too expensive. However when we transitioned to the table, my fork was extremely dirty and filthy. Given the number of positive reviews we likely just caught them on an off day, but none of the four of us were impressed. We order a number of jerk pork and chicken dinners. The fries were soggy, the pork plates were about 65% fat - so barely any meat at all. Another order of fish and chips came as fish fingers, and didn’t care for that either. We left hungry and underwhelmed.

Upstairs at Kaibo is renowned as a regal and refined restaurant, where grand plantation house design meets its match in the kitchen. Lauded by locals as the Islands finest restaurant, the restaurant chefs cook up a storm, whilst diners enjoy the spectacular sea view, making for the perfect island waterfront dining experience. Post indulgence at Cayman’s most extensive rum bar is worth it for any occasion. Disappear into an oversized couch in one of the many drinking nooks, order a “Smoking Gun” cocktail, and inhale an enigmatic fog from your personal rum bottle. Kick back, relax, and feel at home. You are Upstairs at Kaibo.
We had dinner at Kaibo upstairs while staying on the North Side. Service was excellent, even redundant at times. The food was wonderful; my wife, who is not generally a fish eater, loved the Mahi. Drinks were good, too. We thought that the pricing was...MoreThank you for your review and we are delighted that you enjoyed your experience with us, we really hope to welcome you back again soon.

Relaxed and pleasant waterfront restaurant with both indoor and outdoor lounges. Beautifully prepared fresh seafood, steaks and pasta with Caymanian/Caribbean flavors and ingredients. Suitable for families with children.
Spend the night at Osetra Bay for my Wife's 50th Birthday and wished I had booked somewhere else!
After visiting Cayman for over 20 years and experiencing great restaurants including Osetra Bay I wanted to book a special dinner for my wife's Birthday. Osetra Bay is her favourite but on this occasion we were let down. I booked the diner at least 6 months in advance and informed them that it was my wife's birthday. The first thing that annoyed me was that they wouldnt let me decorate the table or even let me do anything that would represent her 50th birthday. They stated that "it wasn't that type of restaurant" I wasn't asking for a redecoration of the restaurant or the table I just wanted some flowers and sprinkles on it with "Happy Birthday" and 50! They declined the request but promised to make it a special night for her. I should have booked another restaurant at this time but let it go as OB is her favourite.
We arrived at the restaurant and stood around for a couple of minutes before anyone noticed us. We then sat in the lounge area and ordered some drinks. We were then shown to a table which looked like it had been placed last minute and the place settings had 4 down one side and 3 the other which i felt was like an interview. We asked if we could move 2 of the setting to either end to make it more balanced.
I noticed the 2 large round table at the left and right front section of the restaurant were already taken. This was the table that we thought we would have been given. Im sure the occupants never booked them so far in advance like I did.
The food was just ok. No where near as perfect as previous Dinners at OB. The Calarmari was luke warm and 2 of the fish mains were bland and again luke warm.
We ordered a couple of desserts including one for my wife. I was gobsmacked when they arrived as my wife's didnt have as much as a candle or Happy Birthday written on the plate like so many restaurants do. I was also about to order champagne for the table to toast my wife but decided that enough was enough and we would go elsewhere for post dinner drinks.
I did express my disappointment to one of the managers who didn't have a clue about our booking or the fact it was a special dinner even though i'd exchanged a number of Emails previously.
It was a shame as we will never go back to Osetra Bay. We have enjoyed the restaurant on many occasions over the years but i felt let down.
We had already had Breakfast at Kimpton and a great dinner at Calypso the evening before and they managed to make my wife's Birthday an occasion to remember.

Managed by the Powell family,South Coast Bar & Grill is located in the village of Breakers, amongst swaying coconut palms and the ocean, in the district of Bodden Town and is approximately 20 minutes drive from George Town the capital. We specialize in local and Caribbean cuisine. We have various dining options, choose from on our seaside patios, Beach dining or in our AC dining room. The atmosphere is relaxing and the prices beats all the restaurants in east end.
Figured we’d try this place even after seeing some not so good reviews. Should have trusted my judgement and stayed away.
First, I think there’s a language barrier that is causing some problems with the staff.
Second, it seems like they cater to the locals and allow smoking. We went to the limited outdoor Seating and had two groups of locals constantly smoking while we were there. The staff said nothing and continued to serve them. The smoke wasn’t blowing on us so I chose to say nothing.
The Mahi was acceptable but nothing special.
We wouldn’t go back again.

It’s in a sketchy area due to many people simply hanging out late at the bar and liquor store next door. The food however was great as we had it twice in a week. Great menu which is good for kids too. This mixed in with island bites half a mile away make for good eating in the north end.

Really tasty fish fry, good for take-out or eating at the picnic tables on the beach. Street a bit noisy. Great value!
