We've visited many times over the years. The most recent meal was an impromptu walk-in on Bank holiday Monday. As ever, always friendly, with good service and tasty food. What more could you want?

Join us in our spacious bar and dining room where we can accommodate all types of functions and gatherings with family and friends.
We thoroughly enjoyed our Monday lunchtime visit to Tally Ho. The food was excellent. There's the old pub favourites like burgers but also some more interesting dishes to choose from. My wife loves the polenta dish. The new chef is obviously very good and I...MoreThank you for reviewing your dining experience. Our new chef James is indeed enjoying producing tasty specials along with classics! The polenta dish is currently my fav too. Intense flavours and colourful! Thanks again for your comments and we look forward to seeing you again.

post code SG8 5AB This is a really fantastic restaurant that's worth being reviewed!
We have been very regular visitors to the Thai Rack for their business lunch over the previous few years. This review should therefore be read in the context that I am still reeling from the shock of having walked in this lunchtime to find:
a) All the old grumpy, familiar staff GONE
b) NEW strange, friendly staff in their place
c) The old lunchtime set menu GONE
d) A NEW, briefer, menu notably ABSENT Gaeng Massaman or the wonderful ability to combine ANY of the 20+ main dishes with rice OR noodles AND to trade up to prawns instead of "beef" or chicken which, by my reckoning, created a bewildering 160,000+ possible menu options.
d) NO prawn crackers on the table and instead a strange notice boasting that these would no longer be provided free of charge, but that you could instead order something (presumably) better at a cost of £2.50
e) Cutlery which was DIFFERENT
f) Portion sizes which were NOTABLY smaller
g) The carved carrot and cabbage SHAVINGS are no longer, to be replaced by a bit of lettuce and tomato
h) A branded chocolate accompanying the bill rather than the traditional bowl of Thai jellybeans
Apart from all that, it was fine. Perhaps I'll get used to it. Maybe I'll not try. Who knows. I've not been so confused since we voted to get rid of the EU. It reminds me of when Morrisons WITHOUT NOTICE changed, not just the packaging, but the supplier of their value porridge oats. Dark times.

Visited on NYE, a very pleasant atmosphere, not too busy with room to grab a table with friends and spend a few hours drinking, staff very good and décor olde pub style is very pleasant, well worth another visit.

From the roadside, the Yuva looks a bit tired in my opinion, more attractive from the car park and even better inside.
We visited on a cold Wednesday evening yet the car park and restaurant were almost full.
You walk into a smallish but cozy bar area with Carlsberg on tap but more importantly the popular Indian style beers in the cooler.
Service was prompt, polite, friendly and attentive.
The menu is quite extensive including a less well known Nepalise selection. Four sat to eat with different meals, all of which we thought were excellent.
The atmosphere in the restaurant was just right, as was the level of attention by the waiters. The food took a while to appear, possibly because the restaurant was quite full but from the depth of flavour and quality, I rather think that meals were not just pre-cooked and heated up.
A nice touch, my keema naan was neatly cut into four segments, served in a small dish, which made the naan very easy to eat.
Prices were not the cheapest I have come across but this is a case of you get what you pay for.
Would I eat there again? Probably next week.

Stunning Country Pub in rural Hertfordshire, Just 6 miles from both Royston and Buntingford.Steeped in local history, The Woodman Inn offers a beautiful atmosphere and surroundings. We have a war memorial and we celebrate our ties with the 398th Bomber Group in WW2 by displaying interesting photos and memorabilia. We have a pool table, quiz machine and fruit machine in their own area of the pub (so as not to interfere with those not wishing to partake). We also have a play area outside for children and even two ducks in the garden! Our food is delicious and there is something for everyone on the menu and specials board. We have an extensive children's menu and welcome families. We have a special Senior Citizen menu on a Tuesday lunchtime and Steak night every Thursday. The bar area dates back to the 17th century and has the tradtional thatch, low beamed ceilings and open log fire and our restaurant area seats up to 60 people in a recently re-decorated dining room (a wood burner and low hanging, cast iron chandeliers). We also have a marquee in our Gardens which is available for weddings and functions.Stuart, Jenna and all of the staff will always give you a warm welcome and attentive service. We hope you'll come and see for yourself soon.
Popped in for Sunday lunch just before Xmas. Good, generous Turkey roast and equally filling desserts. It's all home-style cooking - nothing fancy. The Inn itself is cosy and sits next to the site of the old US 2WW heavy bomber airfield (check out the memorials), so spare a though to the 50+ crews that never made it back.

Est. 2002 - A charming restaurant offering elegant dining. Regarded as a favourite in Royston, serving contemporary Bangladeshi & Indian cuisine
Another fine evening with the locals. This time i had a chicken biryani and chicken tikka, both excellent. I particularly liked the new pickle which added to the variety. I'm fond of biryani since visiting Delhi where it is one of the few dishes one might recognise, but done differently. Ashina's is quite authentic when compared to other UK versions.

We came here for Sunday lunch having read all the fantastic reviews,.
we were taken to our seats by a rather sullen waitress and sat next to a table with 5 rather loud children, not a great start...
For starters i had the calamari, which was a little soggy but o.k my husband had the halloumi again ok, but for the main course we both wanted the doner kebab and the waitress advised us they did not have it,, (really,,, its the first thing on the menu and rather standard i would have thought,) any way we then ordered one chicken and one lamb shish kebab, however when it came out we were a bit disappointed by the size of the meal and glad we ordered chips as a side dish as there was a small lump of rice and about 5 small cubes of chicken, then came the worse part,, the bill (£38.50) this was with only tap water to drink,, to be fair my local kebab is tastier larger in portion and only £5.00, I will not be visiting here again,, sorry ...

Friendly and helpful staff throughout our meal.
Good choice on the menu and a few dishes on the specials board with a choice of sides which makes a nice change to having chips with everything.
Would say the gravy is too thin for my liking but apart from that a most enjoyable meal. Would recommend booking it gets busy.

A lovely gastropub nestled in the heart of the delightful Hertfordshire village of Therfield, it has deservedly won the 2017 Hertfordshire gastropub of the year. We had a delicious Sunday lunch. A perfect roast with a multitude of perfectly cooked vegetables and an apparently delicious nut roast for the veggie in the party. Good atmosphere, helpful and well-trained staff as well as well kept beer. I would highly recommend a visit.
