Welcome to our cozy a la carte restaurant. Here we serve delicious locally inspired dishes, exquisite gourmet experiences and a host of delightful desserts, accompanied by choice coffees. Our lovely Terrace overlooking the sea is open for service during the summer.
A nice and newly renovated hotel. The hotel is in a very small town - some cosy small houses and few shops - otherwise not much to do. But close to Knuthenborg and beautiful nature.
Staff was very friendly and we had a large aparment in the building next door - so don't know how the rooms in main building look. One minus is that there's no real bar og area for just hanging out/having a pre-dinner drink. Only a couple of couches in the reception. Food was nice and a little "retro" - but well prepared.

I would probably rate this place with 4 stars only somewhere else, but after spending one week in Maribo and getting disappointed with all the other places I have been this one clearly stands out.
The food was decorated nicely and tasted good. Service was friendly. Can definitely recommend this place.

We live this small restaurant because of the stable and good quality of the food, the reasonable pricing, the wonderful view and the overall genuine local feel and friendliness of this gem-like place by the sea (as well as at the harbourside)

We have really enjoyed our meal at our car trip from Sweden to The Netherlands. The soups could be served in nicer porcelin (real European standard cups, smaller than at average Thai Restaurant). Though the food was of good quality and adjusted to more spicy upon our wishes.
Definitely worth a visit, though not a WOW-experience.

First of all, I believe this place is now called Il Bambino but is essentially the same restaurant and same concept.
First of all no Reservations accepted except for large groups!!
Customer Service:
Same as at Bone's - excessive waiting time to be seated. No one turned up for 10 minutes, so being 2nd in line we had another 3-4 minutes wait before being seated. No excuses for leaving in the meanwhile 20 people waiting in line in front of a about half full restaurant. After being seated it went fast. We were greeted by a friendly and very young girl. She got our drinks fast and gave us a small wooden banana which has a number on it used to pay when leaving. After that you go to the buffet for your food.
Food:
Yes, so why are we here at Lalandia? For the kids of course and they loved the place. Pizza, pasta and a dessert buffet with soft ice machines and different toppings - could not be better. For the adults, maybe not quite the same enthusiasm - food is ok but the meat had a few hours on its back and was a bit of a tough experience. The salmon was on the other side quite tasty. You will not leave hungry, but it is not a gourmet restaurant - but as said when you go to Lalandia you go there for the kids and they loved it.
Ambience:
Restaurant looks nice and was significantly cleaner than Bone's - I guess they belong together since Bone's gave us a voucher - but maybe not so Italian looking. Our kids did however not care - as said there was pizza, pasta and as much soft ice one can eat, so what is there not to like...
Conclusion:
I would pick this place over Bone's any day simply because of the 10 minutes less waiting time and the absence of the garbage Mountains on the tables. I personally liked the food at Bone's better, but a nice environment and service staff that act like they care is important to me as well. This place was close to scoring a Very Good, but debating it with myself I feel that it would be a bit misguided telling you that it is very good when that isn't quite right.

A really lovely place in stunning settings however a pity that service and food was a disappointment.
We had dinner here on a Saturday night and did not know that there was a big dinner party in another room which probably explains why the service was non-existent.
The starters were fabulous but then it went downhill. Unable to get the waiters attention we waited 1 hour between starter and main. When the mains finally arrived the meat was uneatable with grizzle and fish and potatoes overcooked. We could not be bothered with dessert.
As we came to pay for the bill, we had to remind them of the drinks we had consumed because they were missing on the bill.
If you like to try this restaurant I would recommend asking if there is big dinner party on to ensure good food and attention from waiters.

We had arrived a bit late at Lalandia and the kids were tired, so instead of cooking ourselves we walked over to the Lalandia Center and saw Bone's - Steakhouse? Yup, just the thing we were looking for. Restaurant was pretty empty at 20.00 - lucky us we thought. Will be a no-brainer to get a table and get our food relatively fast.
For the first 10 minutes we waited alone - staff was standing around in the vicinity of the kitchen talking/having fun. No one came over or even looked at us.
We waited about 20 minutes before a guy came over and in an upbeat way excused the short wait and told us to - yes, wait while he would get a table ready for us.
While the front of the restaurant looked nice with tables already set, I started to understand what he meant about getting a table ready when we were shown to our table. The tables around us were stacked with left over food, glasses, plates, bottles etc. French fries, parts of a burger etc were spread over the floor under our table. When pointing it out to our server he quickly took care of the problem.
Customer service at the table was otherwise friendly and efficient, but the restaurant looked like there was no management at work. It was a total mess with staff standing around focused on themselves instead on the clients ultimately paying their salary. Needless to say we did not return to Bone's for the rest of our visit.
Food:
The food was plenty and arrived shortly after being ordered. Quality was good - fastfood-ish but nice.
Ambience:
Restaurant was nicely decorated - I even saw the jersey of my favourite collage football team on the wall - nice (USC Trojans of course)
Conclusion:
So if you don't mind waiting for an extensive period of time and if you don't mind loads of garbage on the neighbouring tables then this is not a bad place at all. The serious defaults in the service management is however not for everyone, so if you expect a reasonable level of customer service then Bone's may not be for you.

We are staying at my mother-in-laws place with our children. There are very few dining options nearby that are affordable and good. We had some pasta dishes (would have given 4 stars but the melted cheese on spaghetti bolognese was just not right). The kids pizza was pretty good which makes it great!!!

Delightful family run restaurant near the centre of Maribo. The service was welcoming and although the menu was fairly minimal the steaks are outstanding. I loved that you could choose from a range of 3 sizes 150 grams upwards and different sauces to go with it. All perfectly cooked and served with the freshest of vegetables. All in all very delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant for both price and quality. They really deserve to do well.
