Wombles is a destination restaurant which comfortably caters for corporate groups whilst simultaneously accommodating intimate diners.
Perfect ambient, perfect service, perfect food!
Located in Bryanston, this restaurant shows the old colonial ambient. And it's huge. Outside you have a fireplace.
The service is extra ordinary. Three different waiters were responsible for our table. And each waiter was a specialist in his profession and high motivated.
We tried the Kudu-fillet, the ordinary beef and several types of carpaccio. Absolute perfect!
Good wine and a good whisky were offered too.
We will come back, definitely.

we have been regular patrons to Saigon. On our most recent visit we alerted our waiter to the fact that I had recently become highly allergic to fish. He thanked me for mentioning it and then instructed his kitchen staff. On returning to our table, he carefully worked through the menu advising as to which dishes were a safe choice. Attentive waiter. Good quality food and it a choice which I can safely recommend. Definite "come back!"

Fresh and delicious every single time!! We make our pizza the age-old Italian way, with love and only the freshest ingredients. Enjoy Italian food the way your grandma used to make it! Our ingredients are imported direct from her kitchen in Italy just for you . Located in Rivonia Village http://bit.ly/cucinaluna
Enjoyed the "San Remo" pizza - a crisp wafer thin pizza base with the standard tomato, mozzarella , pineapple and continental ham. Loved that the pineapple was tinned retaining the sweet pineapple flavour which complimented the salltiness of the ham and the tart tomato perfectly.
The other pizza ordered was a "Toscana" of which the finely chopped toppings included
mixed peppers, mushrooms and avocado, along with marinated chicken strips which was also very good.
The "Focaccia" with mozarella and garlic was enjoyed by the little 'un too.
The various pizza options can also be made into a calzone, which is a great option.
Service was good, though the food is on the pricey side.

Had a very relaxing dinner with my wife. Great live jazz background music with fantastic views.
Calamari stater and shushi were fantastic!! Lamb rump was okay, I had the duck orange before which I my view is there signature dish! Coffee and desert good! Service always good and staff very attentive .
Best wine list in Jhb, but expect to pay top $!
Wine glasses are Riedel so worth spending on a expensive wine.
Well done! Signature is a special place regardless being expensive!!

We merge the classic and the contemporary to create fusion between food and culture for a new South African palate. We're at the Nicolway Shopping Centre, Bryanston
The food is of excellent quality. The service is superb. Our ambassador Teddy was very attentive without being intrusive. I would come back here often. The kingklip lamb shank and bunny chow were delectable. Will definitely be back.

Six of us went to Rocket, Rivonia, on Tuesday for dinner - it was absolutely shocking and we will never visit again. On entering, we were a little surprised that the waiters were wearing camo trousers? All the chairs at our table were damaged and in disrepair, with the foam falling out, as well as several of them being rickety. We arrived at 6.45 and got our main meal at 8.30. There were no large red wine glasses because they had been sent to the other restaurant we were told!!. The service was absolutely shocking - well non-existent. We ordered two calamari starters which were fine. When two of the main meals eventually arrived at 8.30, the chips with the steak were cold. We had to ask several times where the remaining 4 meals were - all rosti with smoked salmon. Last time we visited, we had rosti and it was very good. When they arrived, the rostis were all cold or just warm. They were certainly not freshly made, overcooked and like bullets. Cutlery was not replenished timeously. We had to ask for a jug of water several times. Wine was ordered but forgotten and the waiter had to be reminded. We called the 'manager/supervisor' (who was scruffily dressed in old jeans and top - certainly not a good representative of the restaurant, he was more like a bouncer) and his comment was that they were unusually busy and walked away - he wasnt in the least bit interested. That was not our problem - most evenings before a public holiday restaurants are busy. An absolutely disgraceful experience and none of us will ever go back there again. Maybe management has changed? And, on walking out, one of our party opened the front door and the handle came off in his hand! That just showed us everything.

A interesting selection of teas. Service was good. The food was ok although I found the chicken pie to be a bit dry.

Cafe del Sol Botanico When the seed of Cafe del Sol was planted many years ago, we nourished, nurtured and tended it with love and pride. As Cafe del Sol grew and blossomed, we, and our guests, grew with it. From the fruit of Cafe del Sol, a new seed took root - Cafe del Sol Botanico. Here, surrounded by the vivid colours and secret language of plants, we celebrate that great healer and teacher - Nature. Here, we celebrate the delightful blend of fine food and fine company. Here, we welcome you and yours - for you are ours too.
Took my husband for a special dinner after hearing mixed reviews. The wine menu is exorbitant as is the food menu. Well over R200 for a steak and I have never seen a risotto cost as much. The food was very average and despite being told they did not used tinned mushrooms, the mushrooms in the risotto definitely tasted tinned. Very little mushroom flavor and very brine flavor.
