I tried many Stared Michelin restaurants in Europe and this one is one of my favorite. Very trendy decor, nice and professional staffs, really like the costume black and white suits of staffs, especially they wear gloves to serve customers. The food is so delicate and fine with Asean touch. Amazing !

In the magnificent Jekerdal valley, just on the Belgian border, is Chateau Neercanne. The beautiful Baroque Gardens of the 17th century castle are divided over four levels, all of them UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The highest Terrace offers a wonderful view over of the Gardens and the magnificent valley. Chateau Neercanne has a rich cultural and culinary tradition. Treat yourself to dinner at the a la carte Restaurant Chateau Neercanne. Our attractive marl-built function rooms are ideal locations for parties, receptions and meetings. The unique wine cellars in the marl caves form an unparalleled setting for a wine-tasting session or for enjoying an aperitif.
My husband and I had our 15 year anniversary at this restaurant. But first we were invited for a glass of champagne in the caves. The cave was very nicely decorated and there were little candles burning. At the restaurant we had this very nice...MoreBeste Yvonne C. It's iconic and one of the best known restaurants in Maastricht.
Yes, Gio's is authentic and genuine. The 'menu' is simple (choose between 2 pastas and 3 main dishes - the Ossenhaas is terrific) and you will be fed for the entire evening.
Staff is friendly and attentive (the waitresses look Italian but are mostly Romanian) and the ambiance oozes style and romance.
And yes, making a reservation at Gio's is a bit problematic but that also adds to the charm of the place.
All-in-all the top pick for many locals!

It is always a great pleasure to have dinner at Ristorante Mediterraneo ( written with double r). The welcoming is always warm and sincere. Staff is very friendly, hospitable professional (many years of experience) and atttentive. The menu list changes regurlarly and all dishes are very tasty, cooked with love. This time we had Vitello tonato, risotto with truffles, Branzini and cheese. You really do need to reserve a table, because it's always crowded, also on weekdays. Next time we are in Maastricht we will have dinner again in the Meditarreneo

Architecturally impressive, the Kruisheren Restaurant is suspended between the eaves of the nave, offering remarkable views of original wall and ceiling frescos. Modern lighting and contemporary furniture populate the mezzanine and offset the historic atmosphere, giving the space a truly unique design direction. Open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Chef and his team create culinary masterpieces from locally sourced produce, complemented by wines from across the globe. When the weather is fine, guests can enjoy Kruisheren Restaurant’s culinary masterpieces, al fresco in the courtyard.
When at Maastricht and you want to have an amazing lunch or dinner then this is a place where you must look for. Amazing food. The beauty of history. And staff are professional and friendly. Do it. I can describe how much I enjoyed the time there

Café Sjiek offers very good dishes and nice drinks (beer and wines) in a nice ambiance, that holds between a Brittish pub and a French bistro. Most days, the place is crowded with a mix of locals, tourists and business people visiting the area. While waiting for a seat, have your premeal drinks overhere instead of at the next pub around.

Everywhere else a "Coffeelovers" cafe would be an average self service lunch cafe, with average products and not-too-cheap prices. But then, being located in the former Dominican church, in the area where formerly the altar was, as part of the "Dominicanen" bookstore, brings this business to a new level and is a "four point-very good" rating in order. Then, it becomes an attractive spot to enjoy coffee or a sandwiches for lunch. But we are not alone in this opinion. At busy times, Seating is scarce and vacated tables will be taken over immediately. The best time to visit the cafe (and of course the bookstore) is in the morning.

Feel welcomed as a friend to wine restaurant mes amis. Host Annaline, a passionate wine expert knows how to find the perfect one to accompany your dish. She loves the wines made in Limburg. Enjoy a private dinner with friends, family or colleagues? Be welcome at the cozy private dining room on the first floor of the historic building on Tongersestraat, 2 minutes away from the Vrijthof.
This one was a little bit of a mixed bag, the interior was cozy but the AC was too cold for my taste (we were sitting upstairs. Downstairs seemed considerably warmer); service was extremely friendly and professional, but it took ages for the different dishes to arrive; the food was ok and well-presented, but all in all not very exciting (except for the dessert which was quite creative); the wine pairing was ok but the wines were very young and not extremely developed - we expected more, given the price; they might have had a bad night, but I would not return to see if this really was the case.

I was here for a wedding, we stayed overnight and a dinner.
The staff is very friendly and do everything to make sure you have a great stay. Also the rooms were extremely nice and clean. We had a 3 course dinner starting a mix of tuna and venkel soup. With steak as main course and fruit as desert. Everything was very nice prepared,

The place is on a side road, (Lafelterweg 1) about 500 meters, off the Tongerse weg in Vroenhoven, BE.
Location is near the church. Relatively rustic setting, with a playground for the kids to roam around while you are enjoying one of the many beers they have to offer.
They offer a lunch menu as well as a dinner menu.
The dinner menu features many classic Belgium dishes. Portion sizes are good and you will not leave hungry. Good selection of appetizers and dessert options as well.
It is not Michelin star, however it is good and provides a local twist on classic dishes.
Good atmosphere and setting.
The place also has a B&B attached, as well as a banquet hall you can rent. We did not explore these options. We went there for dinner.
It has a relaxed atmosphere and what mattered for me was that the kids could roam around, come eat, be with us, go roam around and do what kids do,. Nice table settings, inside and out.
My criteria is always, would I go back? And I would do so here.
Enjoy, in case you end up there.
