Go for the specialty foods of Gilan: Sour kebab is good, try Mirza-ghasemi (with grilled eggplant) and Baghalaghatogh (a stew with beans) or the lamb stew. The rice is an excellent Iranian one and you may mix it with traditional butter at the beginning. However, during rush times I have not been there.

this restaurant was famous for its local food , especially the famous PELAKABAB , however , now it has upgraded the building but not the food , the food is nothing special any more

A world-class restaurant with a perfect setting, outstanding service with all waiters speaking English fluently, and delicious cuisine. Furthermore, this restaurant is excellent value. Highly recommended!

The quality of the food was good, the environment was good, but the air is very hot and the ventilation does not work well, and most importantly, the behavior of the staff and the garrison is very bad and ugly.
Very bad staff is poor.
کیفیت غذا خوب بود، محیط آروم و خوبی داره ولی هوا بسیار گرم و تهویه ها خوب کار نمیکنه و از همه مهم تر رفتار پرسنل و گارسون ها بسیار بد و زشت است.
خیلی کادر کارکنان ضعیف است

Kaaj is a good Pizza eating place in the city centre of Rasht.
This Is one of the old Place for fast food restaurants. All types of delicious Pizza,italian style and fried chicken available her.
Pepperoni and seafoods Pizzas and Pasta ,We like mostly.
This is nearby great Muhtashem park of Rasht.

Polo kebabs ( Rice and Barbecue) in a large quantity along with butter is the favorite food all over Iran. Rasht is the largest highly populated city in northern Iran,near Caspian Sea.Here is the capital of Guilan county which is culturally different from central Persia. Mahmoud polokababi is a large restaurant situated at the entrance to Rasht city while coming from Tehran.
Besides Traditional polokabab , various Barbecue grill of chicken,beef mutton and Fish dishes are available. Different Guilan cuisine made of egg plants, Beans vegetables and side dishes are also available. Food is always fresh, delicious and quality is good. Environment of restaurant is very clean. It may accommodate over hundred guests at a time. There is a large car parking of its own. A big rush is here in Noruz holidays, summer vacations and Friday lunch time. I recommend it .

I found Cafe' Cinema by accident while I was fiddling around on Google Maps. I went there with a friend anyway, just to give it a try. And ever since it's become my primary hanging place and the Cafe' which I totally recommend to pals or visiting friends who come from other countries to stay in Rasht.
The management, Ramin who has lived in Germany most his life, and the waiters are incredibly friendly, and it's just a matter of a few minutes before you befriend them.
The beverages, cold and hot, from Herbal teas to shakes, to Coffee types, and the food which include sandwiches is well-prepared, duly served and reasonably priced.
The atmosphere with a lot of pictures of famous world and Iranian actors and directors- you see Steven Spielberg and Ali Hatami a few frames away from each other- gives you the feeling of being on a tour through Cinema history. Vintage collections of items like an old video projector or a TV which you can no longer find anywhere, takes you back in time. And you can even play backgammon or chess during your stay- Ramin is a chess-master: Don't challenge him or you'll end check-mated in less than 3 minutes. Trust me!

This is a nice cosy restaurant that just feels right. While waiting for the food you can observe some very old original pictures of the city. Once the food is delivered, not more looking around, my God the food is delicious! Gilan region is known for a variety of food and in Delijaan you'll get to experience the best of it. For me (=european) the most delightful were various combinations and mixes of stuff we do not even have in the old continent. The fact that you're not always sure what you're eating does not diminish the pleasure. Make sure you visit if you are in Rasht, it is definitely worth it!
