A room quite spacious and air-conditioned, very clean with a sufficient number of plugs for recharging our equipment. The internet is functional to the rooms and fast, large shower with hot water at low flow. The staff is smiling and attentive for Reservations at local attractions such as a butterfly park less than 2 miles away, great. The restoration is of quality which can be surprising for a road restaurant, excellent and beautiful presentation. Only drawback is the heavy traffic for those with a light sleep, ideal for a night pass or a few nights in the area.

We went to this place on our way to Poas following Lonely Planet recommendations. The restaurant is located close to the garden where you can see frogs and other animals. The service is polite and efficient and the food is really good. There is a wide choice including pizza, soups, meat, fajitas, salads and other dishes. I had an excellent meat and my wife and daughter also enjoyed their meals. I recommend this place and I would not hesitate to go there again.

We spent a pleasant evening in this restaurant which we found quite by accident being a bit hidden. grilled meat cooked on the spot was great. The environment was very welcoming and friendly and very helpful. I hope to come back in my next trip to beautiful Costa Rica.

In an adorable antique victorian house, Casa Dominga offers european pastry, gourmet desserts, soups, salads, crepes, quiches, sandwiches and casual lunches. On sundays, enjoy the full pack that includes entry, main course, dessert, natural beverage and tea/coffee. Great place to chill, enjoy good music, read a book, have deep conversations or just enjoy the architecture and style in every room.
Great coffee and absolutely amazing pastries. Also wonderful for brunch and lunch. Great service in a beautiful early 20th century home. But again, the best pastries in town.Thank your for apreciating our work. We strive for the best always. Hope to See you soon.

One of our tour guides told us about this place. The food was very good, portions were generous and prices much lower than tourist restaurants. Smoothies were delicious! I wish we would have found more spots like La Casita.Thank you very much Kristina, we are very grateful for you opinion. We hope you can come back again.!

On route 4 just 300 meters from Hostel Islas del Rio on the bank of the river you will find this great roadside restaurant. We've been there twice for lunch and for dinner. Pollo asado (chicken roasted in a wood-burning brick oven) is so delicious. We enjoyed also the pasta with sea food. Prices are very reasonable.
The view of the Sarapiqui river seen from the restaurant deck is charming.
Highly recommended.

The staff was very attentive and pleasant. Food was nicely presented. Good value for big eaters. Located in the main road of La Virgen, Providence of Heredia, Sarapiqui is not hard to find. Their fried chicken is very good, fresh and flavorful. Nothing fancy but clean. They do serve many other choices than chicken.

Big, comfortable, nothing fancy but good. The staff was very attentive and pleasant. Every plate was nicely presented and plentiful. Price, just right. We noticed large groups gathering here. It is not advertise by the hotels in the area (competition). The food was fresh and flavorful. Co-located with the hotel El Bambu, locals know this place as Restaurante El Surco.

Congo Jack's BBQ is a hybrid between a classic BBQ joint and a tipical costa rican restaurant, where you can get an exquisite fusion of costa rican and cajun cuisine. Clients can enjoy our food either in the main saloon or at the outdoor tables, perfect for enjoying the rain forest weather. WiFi service is for free, and all our meals include a drink and a little dessert.
