Who would have thought there is a fine dining restaurant in Albarracin! It was recommended by the hotel we stayed in. The menu is in Spanish n d waiter had very limited English but he was able 2 recommend some amazing dishes 2 us. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner.

small restaurant with Seating for 50 guests located in a natural setting. the cuisine is author of the highest quality raw materials. recognized in the national food guides as a very good restaurant. has a letter and a gourmet menu. good wine selection.Letter also provides coffees and teas, water letter, letter of high-quality gin and rum and wiskies. plus a wide selection of salts and oils and assorted breads
Our booking made in person the day before was for 13.30. We arrived at 13.20. Owner greeting "but you're too early", we didn't move, he reluctantly said we could wait in our car, their uncovered Terrace (August in the sun), or their lounge. We chose their lounge, only to discover people watching Television, volume on high and switching TV channels between cartoons and sports. A waitress took an order for a glass of wine and water.
35 minutes later we were sufficiently unimpressed we decided to leave. No attempt was made to welcome us, no menu to peruse whilst we waited, crisps and pork scratchings given with our drink. How on earth did they get a Michelin star?
We went to reception asked for the owner explained why we were not impressed, paid for our drinks. The only comment from the owner, "so you're not going in to the dining room".
No welcome, no service and no apology to us means no business, we spent our money elsewhere and our business was appreciated in a manner any paying customer deserves.
Sorry El Batan, no star from us, just a wooden spoon!

Having been thwarted in our attempt to go to another restaurant in Teruel we were delighted to discover Yain with its discreet decor, friendly service and outstanding food. Try the blinis de anchoa, croqueta de cabrales and the steak tartar or solomillo de ternera. You won't be disappointed. Add to this delightful service and a bottle of Finca Resalso and it made for a very enjoyable night.

Undoubtedly this was the highlight of our 2 day break in the Matarrana. This is elaborate food a notch above the competition in the region. Surprising dishes cooked with care.
Restaurant is located in the main square of this very small but charming town. The drive to Rafales is fun too from the main road between Monroyo and Valderrobres.
Food is Mediterranean with a contemporary twist. Do no miss the truffled egg ravioli and the raviolis de rabo de toro. More than raviolis are chinese dumplings fill with local delights.
Desserts are a treat too.
Good value for the quality you get. Mains range from 18 to 21 euros or thereabouts. Starters vary from 11 to 15 euros. There is a degustation menu for 32 euros I belive. Good range of local wines, all affordable.
You should not miss it if you happen to be in the region.

Dear clients, the Restaurant will be closed for holidays from January 12, 2017 until February 9, 2017.

Sorry for the inconvenience!
A really friendly restaurant, excellent food, wines, a very good ambiance and value for money. Having tried to book for a couple of days we nearly gave up. Apparently the owner's partner was in hospital and she was doing almost everything. The restaurant cooks on an open fire and all the dishes we had were delicious. The meat is extremely good, but so was everything else. Highly recommended and we will go again. Booking essential.

We went to Baudilio thanks to the TA reports, and it's worth the 5' walk from the old town to have diner here.
All the food was very very tasty, and the waiter chose a local wine for us, that matched with the food we ordered: "Perdiz escabechada", "Meloso de ternera", "Foie a la brasa" and "Brandada de bacalao".
Value for money if you stay in Vall-de-Roures (€70 for two, wine included)

Our hotel staff recommended this place. We were almost first guest to arrive when they opened. They quickly filled up on a week night with locals. I am not a big fan of bar chairs with no backs so we took chairs at table. The staff working were very friendly, even with being super busy. Wine we ordered was good. Just a suggestion if you have something you don't like, like squid/seafood. Ask the staff when ordering the tapas available. Our Spanish is not that great, but the young man working seemed to speak fairly well English. If ordering several tapas I would order one at a time. As they re-heat items in microwave. My husband ordered us each four. For my liking items towards end were cold and not as tasty.

The tapas is very good. The service and atmosphere excellent! If you are looking for a casual restaurant With the little extra in Albarracin, this should be the number one choice. Recommendations from the menu: Humus; bravas caseras; jamon D.O. Teruel; costillas and bolas. I will also recommend their gin and tonic.

We found this place while wandering trying to find our hostal or wifi. They had Wi-Fi so we went in and had a couple of beers. The prices were good, the bartender gave us a bowl of honey roasted nuts with each round which was nice. It was a cozy, friendly atmosphere and basic decor. Did not try the food but we were tempted by the self-proclaimed giant burgers. It has a few Terrace tables outside. Overall a good place for a quick beer

The main comedor seats 80 in a rustic but elegant style. I took the menu with a fruit, nut and vegetable salad and beef cheeks in a delicious dark sauce. The preparation was excellent. They made me a fruit plate for dessert. Very attentive service and very quiet.
