street food of Ortigia. Dairy Borderi serves a wide range of products and typical Sicilian cheeses made by hand. We are in the market of Ortigia, and the place we serve our sandwiches and platters. We carry out the catering service and ship all over the world.
We found Caseificio Borderi by chance as we wandered through the market. A very helpful member of staff talked us through what was available and we plumped for the sliced meats and cheese platter for 3 and we weren't disappointed with our choice, which also came with sliced fresh bread and a verty large pot of ricotta. In fact there was too much for the 3 of us to finish and we went home with some bread and the ricotta all nicely packed up for us before we left. I think the total bill was €45 which included a bottle of red wine, a beer, water and service, although we did leave a further tip as we had enjoyed it so much. I can imagine this place gets packed out in the summer.

This little unassuming restaurant is superb. Guiseppe serves the most exquisite food in his small dining room to guests who book. The six course meal was worthy of a Michelin star. There is no menu and Guiseppe asked our preferences in advance. His speciality is...MoreThanks for the positive review! This unassuming little place in a side street specialises in cakes and pastries. But it is brilliant. The arancini are fabulous and the tiny semifreddi desserts are just delicious. This was a much needed stop between the Catacombs of santa luci and the Catacombs of san giovanni. Friendly and delicious. This isnt fine dining. This is Sicilian street food and panini at its best with truly artisan cakes for good measure.

We literally started going here almost every day because the food is just so good. The antipasto is original and so tasty. Wait ten minutes more for their fresh pasta and you'll be rewarded. The second courses were top quality and fresh ingredients. What makes this place extra special is the service, very attentive but not invasive. The interiors are low key and there's always lovely music on in the background. It's family friendly too. I would go to Palazzolo just to eat here!

We had an amazing dinner at Manna in Noto late September. When you arrive, you are greeted with smiles and enthusiasm from their wonderful staff. We were lucky to have Fabiana, who took very good care of us, explained the menu, and were around if you needed her always with a big smile. We had a nice table outside and the food we were served exceeded our expectations (even if they were high). Everything was tasty and beautifully arranged on the plate. And they also make very good Rosata (Rose') in Sicily.

Pleasant, efficient and low-key service. Delightful ambiance. Excellent and relaxing music. Best of all - simple, honest and delicious seafood. Meaty king prawns, perfectly grilled squid, succulent swordfish, accompanied by crispy fresh salad. Even the complimentary limoncello was drinkable! With a bottle of decent house white wine and coffee, only 52 euros for two. Highly recommended.

My husband & I stumbled upon this little place after walking around Syracuse & we're so glad we did! The food was incredible, great selection of local Sicilian meats & cheeses, delicious sandwiches, salads, etc. Monica was such a delight! We're from Canada & we chatted about her son studying in Montreal! Plus she makes the BEST tiramisu we had in Sicily! Highly recommend this little restaurant!
