Ituzaingo is a close doors restaurant in the most bohemian neigbourhood from Mendoza. The building is a loft wich shows real mendocinean lifestyle. The atmosphere is very eclectic style and combines artistic expresions (paintings and sculptures). The food is mostly tradional Argentine Cuisine in a real gourmet style. Wines are from the personal cellar of the owner (no wine list). The phrase for our concept is:¨Ituzaingo is a restaurante but still a house, welcome.
I booked this restaurant so far in advance that I was a bit worried that Gonzalo might forget about us! He didn't and it was a lovely experience. We enjoyed meeting the diverse group of diners, the food was good, the wine was good and the atmosphere was lovely. Definitely worth trying this closed door restaurant!

Melipal is located in the exclusive area of Agrelo, one of the best grape growing regions in Argentina. The winery elaborates great wines using its own grapes from the region.Melipal has been related to agricultural labor for more than three generations. Its philosophy is based on a sustainable and responsible use of natural resources. Melipal winery was founded in 2002 with the commitment of beginning a history of perfect matching between man, the vineyard and the terroir. A history where wine is its most remarkable expression. Its contemporary architecture design is surrounded by 87 has of vineyards, being most of them Malbec grapes. The facility is open to receive visitors all year round, giving our guest the choice of a private tour and tasting or the possibility of enjoying an exclusive lunch at our restaurant viewing the impressive Andes Range.
We had lunch at Melipal and the food was very good. The setting is excellent and the service was very good too. The price tag is high and at the time we asked for the check, we were given a ticket (not valid for tax identification purposes). We asked for the valid ticket and it was not a happy question apparently because all the smiles given until then, were gone. Unfortanelty this is a common practice in Argentina, but if they are going to give in general in any place a non valid ticket, you should not be paying the 21% tax part of it.
Other than this issue, the rest was perfect!

Open to Tuesday from Saturday at night.Abrimos de Martes a Sabados por la noche.
Visited this country restaurant based on a recommendation and am now recommending it for others. My wife and I had the Tasting Menu and were not disappointed. Both said menu and the good selection of wines are moderately priced. Service was attentive, but not overbearing. Our comments echo that of others in stating that the rooms are a bit 'stark' and the music did not seem to come out of the speakers in our room. Otherwise a very good experience for the dollars expended.

At Cavas Wine Lodge’s we are convinced that the best-tasting food is organically grown and harvested in ways that are ecologically sound. The menu changes every 3 months, designed to be appropriate to the season and composed to show off the finest ingredients obtainable. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner Monday through Sunday, by reservation only. Lunch served from 11:30 am, dinner starting 7 pm. We welcome children over 12 years of age.
In the spectacular Cavas Wine Lodge is a restaurant with an amazing chef of gourmet foods. Not surprising that one of the most spectacular hotels in all of South America would have an amazing gourmet cuisine. Visit when they have a tango show too. See the photos, need I say more…

Superb food, service and wines. Definitely top 3 in the area. The empanadas were to die for, so was the pork bondiola, and desert was a hit too. The staff was so friendly and the ambiance a lot of fun.

Our lunch was a fun experience over a lazy couple of hours sitting in a tranquil setting. It had been recommend by the head bar man in our hotel in BA. The initial welcome was so warm and friendly and informative that we immediately relaxed, despite having had no reservation. Our waiter had excellent English ( having spent time in New York) and explained each wine pairing with each of the five courses. It’s all cooked freshly and quite heavy on the meat but this is Argentina. There were potatoes, empanadas, sausages and then beef, chicken or pork mains....The pork was sublime and I was surprised that they do a mean tiramisu though the poached pear won the best dessert award. The wines are all produced by the owner who also farms other fruit. They did not skimp on the wine but provided plenty of bottled water. There was a mix of tourists and locals and the atmosphere was congenial due to the delightful attitude of the owner and his staff. All in all a great experience with great wine, great food and great service!

"Lo de Fer" is a truly authentic familiar restaurant attended by its owners. Here you will enjoy a friendly atmosphere, with great food and service. We offer typical homemade Argentinian and eclectic food. We open only at night and making a reservation is highly recommended. Our menu changes on a weekly basis and consists of a 5 course meal (appetizers, starters, mains and desserts, coffee and tea included.) Beverages are not included. We offer a unique experience and we are looking forward to seeing you soon! "
Greeted by Gladys, eight of u,s were welcomed into their home. We had been sent the menu beforehand but it exceeded our expectation. We had tapas of olives, sausage, Swiss chard sticks, potato sticks, dip and home made breads followed by black spaghetti with home made tomato and basil sauce. The entree was the best steak we have had in Argentina served with mushroom risotto and wok fried vegetables. Dessert was the most delicious white chocolate bavaroise with strawberries and home grown kumquats followed by coffee or tea. Portions were perfect and I was particularly pleased that my portion was appropriate to my size! We were a very diverse group of people from Europe and the US and everyone loved it. We brought our own wine which made the evening very economical and everyone had what they wanted to drink. I would recommend Fernando's cooking to everyone. It was something not to be missed.

The restaurant is designed so each seat features majestic views of the Cordillera de los Andes. Enjoy a leisurely lunch of Mendocinean cuisine & premium wine pairings.
Wow!! Everything here prepared to perfection, served with style!! What a fantastic luncheon! Pairing was great! Some of the wines although not so good by themselves, were excellent when paired with the food!
The best meal we have had in Argentina! Meat better than in Buenos Aires!
Kudos to this fabulous chef!!!
If in Mendoza, try this tasting luncheon!! An experience to remember!

Giving credit where credit is due...we went to this restaurant after Reading other Trip Advisor posts. It happened to be my husband's birthday and we wanted something out of the ordinary. What we found was this wonderful gem, somewhat off the beaten path and worth the ride...the menu is limited to what the owner/cook has on hand each day, but there are a couple of items that are "signature" plates, such as the "carne a la masa," which is as bountiful as it is exquisite. The food is fresh, cooked to perfection. The wine list is not extensive but offers some very good wines, especially from excellent local bodegas. The owners are warm, welcoming and enjoy seeing their customers enjoy themselves. The ambience is low key but very charming. We had mentioned our visit to friends who went there on a whim and raved about it endlessly. Definitely will return.
