When you're sick of pizza and gelato, go here.
Set in the picturesque countryside well outside of Ferrara, there are many things to recommend this restaurant:
- the devoted supervision of the owner, who makes sure everything runs smoothly
- superb Italian wines, well matched to the food
- excellent attentive service (bordering on too fast, however)
- food that manages to be traditional without being boring
A great experience. These people need to open a hotel and make it a destination restaurant.
I had the 44 euro tasting menu (one of several, the cheapest) and it was worth it.
The 53 euro version, with paired wines that are poured generously, is fantastic.
5 stars not because the food blew my mind, but because they are so attentive to detail.
A real pleasure.

It is worth it, fast italian food a great experience, the piadinas where so full and big we had a hard time finishing them ? they where really great and yummy a large selection to choose from.Wow! Many thanks for your positive review. We are sooo happy to read you enjoyed our piadinas. This is a typical product you may find only at Mordicchio La Piadina, a special recipe we have been working on since our opening.

We had an outstanding lunch at Al Buongustaio. We opted for the fixed meal which included an amazing antipasto plate of local cold cuts, and some really great stuffed pasta, with a couple different sauces. The proprietor/chef couldn't have been more accomodating and we felt like we had experienced an outstanding meal. Well worth the detour off the Autostrada. There was ample street parking, but beware, the Trip Advisor map is not correct for the location of the restaurant. Drive around the center of town and you will find it. It is worth a little looking.

What a pity this restaurant is not open at lunch time. We would go back time and time again as we visit Ferrara several times a year with friends but normally just for the day. Yesterday we stayed the night and booked dinner here and we were not disappointed! Excellent food, all pasta is freshly made on the premises. A warm friendly welcome by chef Giovanni and his wife and good service even though the restaurant was full. We would highly recommend but would mention for fish lovers, there is no fish on the menu.

I loved this place. It was set in a lovely garden and The staff were friendly, helpful and patient as we spoke only English. They gave us the menu in English which we weren't expecting and they did their best to explain to us each dish. They were extremely helpful. The food was delicious. We would definitely go back to dine here and we came all the way from Australia! You will not be disappointed. If you're in Ferrara - make sure you have dinner here. It's a good idea to make a reservation as we tried on Saturday night and it was fully booked so we went on Sunday - We Loved it.

I've been here the last 3 years for the summer visiting family and I always go here for ice cream! It's beautifully smooth, creamy and very tasty! The children also enjoy the crepes here with Nutella! They never disappoint!
I'm here for another week so I will be going back for another one before heading home !

I stumbled upon this kiosk by chance and i couldn't believe my luck. The place has 5/10 Seating inside and 10/15 in a gazebo at the front. Plus another 15/20 outside. Very basic benches and tables. The food is pretty much piadina. But oh my! This is the real deal, people. Light, friable and super tasty. I obviously end up buying a pack of piadinas to take home. Staff super friendly and nice. We had different fillings and they seemed all fresh and very tasty. We also tried the fried vegetables and thought not one of my favourite i couldn't resist but to keep snacking them. There's a little fenced playground which is obviously a bonus. Highly recommended.
