In response to the anonymous Facebook reviewer: yes it is true that Sara can be...hmmm... exuberantly friendly, but that does NOT detract form the quality of the food or from the overall experience.
It is still and always one of our favorite go-to places in Como.

Il Cantuccio very good as always. Menu refined with also new "Winter" dishes. CHEF & staff VERY professional and Kind. Although the restaurant was crowded, we didn't have any problem. Price in the average. We are going to return there very soon. Tks. Maxbugatti.

Kitchen restaurant is the fine dining option for all ones are looking for a revised Italian cuisine in a sophisticated yet informal atmosphere opened onto the green. Executive Chef: Francesco Soletti
We had beef tartare, shrimp scampi, black cod, turbot, and tiramisu, coconut/caramel for dessert. All portions are proper for medium Americans that come in hungry. The beef tartare was exquisite with a bit of muted sweetness and flavorful pistachio pesto. The shrimp scampi with foie gras was light, but very flavorful. The black cod (not black in color) was cooked to perfection and when combined with the white bean mousse produced a rich, but delicate experience. The turbot was excellent with delicate asparagus, fava beans, chanterelles mushrooms. The tiramisu is much improved from the traditional (biscuit) ...frozen creme fresh, granulated cacau chocolate and cappuccino sauce. The caramel and coconut combination
was delightful with intense caramel and delicate coconut undertone. Also try the Mirto aperitif to end your experience.....chocolate undertone with light cherry flavor.

Although limited in menu selections, which also change daily, the appetizer and entrée selections were absolutely excellent. Service was extremely friendly and professional with menu items explained very capably at the table. Wine choices were excellent, and the pricing was reasonable. This is a restaurant that you would want to enjoy more than once.

We have looked at this restaurant for some time and happily finally got there.
The waitress, who I assume is the owner, is very informative and rightly clearly proud of her menu. We started with lardo with chestnuts and honey and a bacala/potato plate. Both were delicious. For primi we had a gnocchi cooked with a delicious cheese and a pasta again both were faultless and for a secondi I had tartar which was again presented well and most enjoyable. I wish the website was better as I could do the dishes more justice with their correct names and ingredients.
The restaurant was full and I suspect it often is as and there is a young man assisting the owner who should be empowered to do a little more perhaps taking responsibility for desserts and coffees allowing her to spend more time with the tables who are ordering.
A very nice dinner in a very nice restaurant with jazz in the background, we will undoubtedly return.....Not a place to take young children!

You better reserve in advance a table in this very characteristic and ancient grotto. All the food on the small menu is terrific. The wine list is very interesting. The service quick and friendly!

Head waiter very pleasant and spoke good English. Food was excellent, but not cheap, but then there are no bargains in Northern Italy!! so be prepared to pay more for everything. Lovely touches to our meal and free lemoncello after, nice touch. Staff did everything to make our meal memorable and it was. Thank you Al Torchio.

We had such a wonderful time here! We didn't have a reservation and came on the 4th of July...apparently it is celebrated on lake como because so many Americans are vacationing there. There was a huge party taking up the entire outdoor area, but The owner was so accommodating and made a place for us inside facing a beautiful window view. We had chef's choice for dinner (I think what they were serving the party!) - three courses of different lake fish prepared different ways, prosecco, caramel flan and cappuccino. Everything was phenomenal and we were expecting a huge bill. When he told us how much it was, we were shocked that it was so inexpensive! The food, the service and the experience were all wonderful!
Note - this is a cash only restaurant, and even though most people don't tip in Italy, they will more than earn it here!

We enjoyed our lunch here very much. The restaurant is very pretty and has a lovely view of the lake. A lot of care is taken with regards to presentation and general service. We were offered prosecco and an amuse bouche upon arrival. I especially liked my starter 'pomodoro'...it was amazing. I was slightly disappointed however by the first course with the baccala in conchiglie. The dish was missing something and after two conchiglie the taste was too repetitive, the tomato sauce under it helped but I still found the dish slightly bland. My husband adored everything he ate however. I'd definitely come back again and try some other dishes. My overall mark is a 4.5 in any case and not just a 4.

From April until October the charming Ristorante ,,La Masseria - Beach Terrace & Grill" is at your disposition seven days a week for Italian specialities. Wine and dine by the fireside in the cosy or perhaps you prefer dining on the Terrace with its unrivalled Panorama? The choice is yours.
While staying at Parco San Marco we booked into the Ristorante La Masseria at recommendations of friends who had previously stayed at the hotel.
The service was impeccable and the food was delicious. We were impressed with the children's menu with many organic options.
We found the pricing more inline with Swiss pricing than with Italy - however this hotel is catered to a swiss clientele so that makes sense.
