This is where the guy who rented my boyfriend and I a Twizy recommended we charge it midway through our afternoon of exploring. I did wonder whether he was related to the owner or something, as he seemed insistent on us buying something and not just sitting in the car park, a piece of advice we were glad we took as we ended up eating the most amazing seafood spaghetti. We had a couple of beers too, it cost around £30 and we left with full stomachs and a full battery ready for some more traffic light hunting (don't bother, there aren't any). The setting is lovely, right by the sea, and if the weather is clear enough you can see Madeira. We could've sat there all afternoon had we not had the vehicle to return. We walked back one evening for a drink and the place was full of locals, which is always a good sign.

Nice restaurant. Good food. The "lapas" and selfish are very good. Great views. The "espetadas" are not as good as they could be if done in the traditional way.

Coming to Porto Santo in January you'll find quite a few of the better restaurants closed. On our search for good food we found Alencastre. Set in a attractive, carefully thought out garden setting this is a neat little restaurant. We had bolo de caco, tomato soup, espada with banana and espatada. All of this was formidable - absolutely delicious and all fresh. Would definitely go back.

Lovely food, not a wide variety of choice but enough that we went back again. Cheap compared to some, attentive waiting on staff and although the restaurant is always busy no-one asked us to leave our table. People were queuing in the street to get seated, it's that good. The caco bread is to die for, the steak with ham and cheese topping is especially nice. The beef surrounded by chips was very tasty and although we ordered a half portion it still beat both of us and we couldn't finish it all. Don't buy a bottle of wine, have the house wine by the glass it's cheaper and just as nice. Worth a visit.

We went there for our Christmas dinner, which was very yummy and delicious. The atmosphere there is great, very charming.
The food was good and fresh, delicious spices and a good selection, not only fish but also meat.
Service was also good and friendly. It's perfect that they offer free pick up from the hotel, so I could also enjoy a glass of Portoguese red wine.

We went to the restaurant for dinner. The atmosphere is really nice.
The staff is very helpful, they came to pick us up at the hotel as its not easy to get around the island if u don't have transportation. The service is quite rapid.
I took the steak with shrimp sauce, a very original plate and i took the "lapas" the specialty of the region. Both plates were very good!
We asked our hotel to make the reservation and asked for the pick up.
During the summer its busy u have to make a reservation!
Thank u for ur kindness we had a lovely time!

Located at the beach, near center town, La Siesta Restaurant has the best sunset on the island of Porto Santo. In respect of its food and hospitality concepts, the La Siesta Restaurant is at the forefront of what is best presented in the global hospitality industry, offering a fusion of various influences such as Portuguese, South American and Japonese cuisines.La Siesta Restaurant was designed and run by the same team and ownwer that created the Porto Santo La Roca Restaurant, referenced in Conde Nast Magazine as the best place to eat at the island.
We found this quirky little beach restaurant by chance - followed a tiny pathway over a couple of rickety Bridges & arrived at no more than a shack - we were lucky & got a Seaview - we could hear & see the sea around 10 feet away. Building basic - food amazing - quite expensive for small portions but service excellent - certainly a place to remember.

The Old Dragoeiro (Five Continents) Restaurant, is highly recommended for its fresh local fish and seafood specialities, The House also serves unique, freshly cooked meat dishes and vegetarian food.
Love this restaurant. The food was fantastic , the atmosphere good and the owner is amazing, the heart of the place without a doubt the place wouldn't be the same if someone else was in front of the restaurant. She show as around inclusive the pool and the garden where some of the herbs that are used in the kitchen grows.
They have a few rooms to rent too.
From beginning to finish there wasn't anything that I could fault.
Thank you very much for a fantastic meal.

We think that this beach bar is a fantastic improvement in the facilities/restaurants at the Torre Pria Hotel.
It is possible to eat something from their limited menu or to have something brought down from the Italian restaurant next door (also part of the hotel).
We had 1/2 a pizza with coleslaw and fries accompanied by a fab bottle of dry white wine.
There are 3 areas in which to eat and drink.
We'll look forward very much to our next visit later in the year.
