Our travels to Southern Ontario MUST include a meal at the Buccaneer. Our order will include the platter of perch, fresh cut fries and cole slaw. While perch lovers can debate which Canadian restaurant is tops for this meal, add the tartar sauce and the Buccaneer wins hands down.

My husband and I enjoyed a leasurely lunch here. It was a cloudy day with showers, but charming hostess Jean suggested the garden pavilion. Perfect. A bottle of Wyndham Estates Chardonnay ( Australia ) partnered nicely with our food choices.
We enjoyed curry-infused cauliflower soup, mussels in a garlic/cream sauce and battered perch along with spicy fries. The 'Bailey's' Creme brûlée lacked enough of the liqueur to earn the label, but with fresh raspberries it was delicious.
It was a joy to spend a couple of hours in this lovely setting.

Stopped for dinner at Mackie's because I heard how great it was. After waiting in line like cattle I ordered fries and their signature Orangeade. I asked if the line ups were normal and the girl at the counter said the nice weather makes them long. The fries were average, bridge fries are better, the fry sauce is way too sweet, but the Orangeade was very good. I might try it again on a colder day so there's less of a line up and drink more Orangeade.

Typical "beach" bar. Earlier reviews talked about wonderful food. Must be with old owners. Current menu is pretty well deepfried - chicken nuggets, cheese sticks, fries, etc. They are not really in the food business. We had planned to eat supper as well but just had one appetizer.
Visited Sunday late afternoon for live music. Music was good (but very loud). Place certainly popular with regulars. Unfortunately - service was affected.

Hi ya, my friend and I had a lovely lunch here last weekend. We were referred here from another property that was once a restaurant but has since converted to condos.
The entire experience was great. Welcomed by Marilyn on her front porch, and it never turned south. The menu is short and sweet and difficult to choose from. We settled on BLT Eggs Benny and I had pickerel cakes. Both ample in size and taste YUMMMMY I mean. We shared a rhubarb custard slice...it was awful as was evident by the licked clean plate, homemade whipped cream on the side disappeared too. Enjoyed a very good cuppa coffee....we will be back! Thanks for a great lunch experience. Patty and Becky

Our quaint Coffee House is located on the MAIN corner in a vintage building in a quant fishing village that is very busy in the summer.
I was passing through Port Stanley on my way to the beach and was immediately drawn to this coffee house from the street. I saw a big sign that said "VEGAN". As someone who has followed a vegan diet for almost 10 years, I have a radar for anything that says vegan and I had to go inside to check it out. I was actually pretty hungry for lunch, too.
Upon entering the cafe, I was greeted by two lovely ladies that worked there. I asked about the vegan options and they said there was soy and almond milk for all beverages. Unfortunately, there weren't any vegan food options on the menu. I ordered a smoothie (which was delicious!). Thankfully, the employees had created a brand new vegan macaroon that they hadn't tested out yet and let me try it - it was so yummy! Make these and serve them on a regular basis, please!
I had a delightful experience here and the only reason why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 stars was for the lack of vegan/plant-based food options. I could drink pretty much anything on the menu here, but there was nothing for me to eat. I think it would be pretty easy to make a vegan banana bread, muffin, or other dessert - these treats taste the same as their dairy-filled counterparts, they are healthier, they are cruelty-free, and everyone can enjoy them!
I'd love to see vegan cheese served with your bagels as I saw you had a bagel/cream cheese option. There's a fantastic company in the London area called Nuts for Cheese. I've eaten it on multiple occasions, and you could stash a little bit of their cheese in your fridge for when the vegan customers come by. You could even use it to make veggie sandwiches or vegan grilled cheese, too.
I adore Port Stanley and I hope that you consider my ideas regarding vegan food at your restaurant! I'll be back!

GT's has good food and the service is okay once someone takes notice of you. The pub favourites are delicious, the Club Sandwich will definitely fill you up. The view of the beach is excellent. However, make sure you get the attention of the wait staff or it can be a real wait before you get served.

PizzAxl's Pizza has the freshest stone oven Pizza in Port Stanley. We make our dough daily and roll out every Pizza to order. We use only the freshest ingredients. All of our delicious hand tosses Pizzas are baked to perfection in our authentic stone oven.
They have a golden opportunity but the menu is very limited and the pizza sauce tastes like ragu sauce straight out of a can. Over priced for the lacking of toppings...tried it a couple times oh and not to mention to seriously unfriendly customer service. Sorry will not return would rather drive to St Thomas for some pizza tonight!
