This is a modern and clean cafe/restaurant. You can find variety of organic and original foods to buy or eat. They have healthy options for breakfast and brunch. They have also delicious cakes for calory lovers:)) However, the food served at the restaurant have more customer friendly prices than those at the shelves to sell.

THE FOOD: recommendable. Even me as a local I loved it! Had the "Tischlerei soup" which is a mix of many Austrian soups - very good. As a main I can recommend the Bull ("Schulterscherzel") - it was a very soft meat (cooked for 48hrs). As a desert we had the flower pot which reminded me of Pana Cotta.
THE SERVICE: very friendly and attentive. Waitresses serve in the typical Austrian dress ("Dirndl").
THE VENUE: very pretty. They managed to incorporate modern interior design into the Austrian wooden style.

We visited this mountain restaurant whilst walking at Rittisberg, but it is just as easily accessible in the winter if you are cross country skiing. Friendly family run service, with the son occasionally entertaining with the accordion between serving and clearing tables. Good food at reasonable prices. There looks to be good quality and value accommodation available in adjacent buildings. All in all a fabulous Austrian mountain hut and worth a visit. Don't expect to drive here, though there is a dirt road available for the special occasions that they offer.

THE FOOD: good! Had the griessnockerl soup as a starter and deer as a main. Both recommendable THE SERVICE: very friendly THE VENUE: gorgeous. You get a view over the mountain chain "Dachstein" Tip: Ask for the table in the corner with the pretty view!!

First day in Schladming, didn't know where to go, on the street saw the restaurant and went in cause it was almost full. The dishes were good, the prices were fair, and staff was nice.

This was recommended for good food and it delivered in spades full. Salzburger schnitzel and roast potatoes. And a pan full of potato, ham, vegetables with a fried egg on top. Hearty and wholesome and very filling. Taste before adding salt. Cake for pudding. Mandarin and cream aplenty.yum Could come back again this week hopefully

The Rittis'stadl is a great Hut. It is located at the top of the Rittisberg in Ramsau am Dachstein. It is possible to drive up there but that is not the point. As the destination at the end of a beautiful walk up the mountain it is just excellent. Rittis'stadl is apparently open throughout the year so does not close even in the challenging winter in The Ramsau.
Rittis'stadl is located next to the top of the chair lift for those soft enough to get the lift up. It has its own children's playground for those youngsters with enough energy after the walk.
The food at Rittis'stadl is traditional Austrian done so right. The portion size is excellent. The taste is terrific. Austrian food is maligned in part because it is stodgy and designed for the Alps. It makes a lot of sense at the family-friendly altitude at the top of the Rittisberg.
Rittis'stadl is acceptably touristy. It is easy enough for the casual wanderer to understand. English is possible but without German a conversation here is not going to happen.
Being an Austrian location there are smokers but on the pavillion the smoke is not too noticeable.
Service at Rittis'stadl is the best this visitor has experienced anywhere in Austria. The fastest and most efficient around. Compared to the horrible service for instance in Vienna, Rittis'stadl is incredible. Of course it helps that the recruitment policy seems to have drawn in staff who look as good as the stunning mountain views towards the Dachstein range. Price seems reasonable. Value is definitely stronger here than in some of the other Hut options in the neighbourhood.
Huts are a traditional Alpine experience. The one at the top of the Rittisberg is an outstanding example of everything right about that experience.

This was our first trip to the Schladming area so didn't know where to stay. We contacted the tourist board with our requirements and they put this out to various hotels. Hotel Gleimingerhof were one of the first to reply with a good offer of half board and so we decided to go with them.
Freddie, Andrea, Andy and Tony Trinker (the owners) looked after us extremely well and we could not ask for anymore from them. We had a family room consisting of a double bed with bunk beds in a connecting room. The bathroom was new and very well appointed with a balcony off of the main room with views of the slopes. The breakfast was a continental style buffet with plenty to eat. Evening meals were of a good standard too and changed each evening. The bar offers a place to go once your meal is finished (try Freddie's home made schnapps, it's amazing).
The hotel has a brand new wellness centre which although not huge it's very well appointed. There is a heated boot room and separate ski room with direct access outside.
From the hotel there is a 50m walk to the edge of the slope where you can ski to the lift. It is also possible to ski directly back to the hotel but you will need to go via a tricky red - not for the inexperienced skier!
In summary, the hotel was lovely with good food in a great location. We will be visiting again next year.

Good Food and impressive fast service.
Have had lunch several times and will rate it the best lunch on Hochwurzen, both in terms of food quality and service.
Finally a lunch restaurant that has understood that good quality and fast service is what hungry skiiers are looking for.
Good for families as well.

Booked in here after trying Julia's and wasn't disappointed. Different menu, more formal dining experience, with waitresses in traditional costume. The food was excellent, the steak perfectly cooked. Others had Wiener schnitzel which were ok and the only reason for the down grade. Definitely worth a visit, decor is interesting with some good wines.
