Don Charras is a restaurant focused on the respect for the quality of its raw materials and quality of care in its service. Extensive trajectory in Paraná, characterized by the quality of our dishes, careful attention and Cousy athmosfere
Was in Parana for business with 6 other colleagues. After flying from the States and Buenos Aires and then on to Parana it was a long trip. This place was recommended. The first good sign was the cook throwing more logs on the wood fire for cooking. We had 2 Spanish speakers to help with the ordering. There were a lot of questions about the menu but then our server basically said "trust me, I'll take care of you guys". We ordered a bottle of Malbec - Luigi Bosca if I remember correctly. Very reasonably priced for as good as it was. Initially when looked at the wine list I thought I was looked at per glass prices. When I found out it was bottle price we splurged and the Luigi Bosca which was $27 US.
For the meal we started with empanadas with ground beef and onion. I thought it was very good. Next was a warm cheese served on a cast iron skillet. Mild but flavorful. Another winner. Then the beef. Some sort if sirloin a little over cooked for me but still good. I finished with a type of apple crepe with caramelized sugar on top in a rum sauce.
All around very good. For any first timers to this area, no cars in the parking lot at 845pm is not a bad sign. By 11pm the place was full.

Pescados De Rio, Mar, Pastas Y Parrilla
Giovani is a nice restaurant. We ate there a few times. We were dissapointed because of a problem with the final check. They were supposed to be included in a coupon plan with a 20% discount for suscribers to a local newspaper. Their offer said this discount would be made with any means of payment. When I tried to pay with my credit card, they first denied the card, then they said they had no discount, after that they said they did have it but only by paying cash, and finally they offered a 15% discount only because they were nice guys and wanted us back as customers.... Anyway, food is good, probably not worth the price....

I have been there once. The cakes looked very good but I had a Sandwich of arugula and ham The bread has been baked by them and was thin and tasty. First quality ham Quick service, and the orange juice is the best one I have had since long time.
A piece of advise: take your time and go there.
Opening hours not very convenient. They close, as everybody, between 12.30 and 17.00.
Not expensive, at least not more expensive than many places in Paraná.

Had dinner with 6 colleagues. Started with a variety of empanadas, beef, ham/cheese, cheese, and fish. The beef ones had a sweetness to them that was different and good. Also like the ham/cheese. The table also shared a "tortilla" which was like a quiche with a heavy dose of potatoes. It was good but filling. I had lomo ala crema. Very heavy. 2 pieces of beef, overcooked in a cream sauce with a ton of fried and cubed potatoes. I can only eat about half. Others at the table had had pasta which was different than expected. One person got pesto and it was ravioli in an odd sauce.
The server was very knowledgeable. We had 2 Spanish speakers in the group to help. Had some good Malbec that was extremely well priced.
One down side, the restaurant was pretty warm. It was maybe 60-65 outside and probably about 80 inside. Also, be mindful, cash only.

Olivo is a nice place, with space for family and children.
The food is great, well done and the service is nice too.
Prices are little high but not expensive at all. And you can have pasta, meat or fish.
They have a dessert named "Postre Campeón" because they won an award for that. But what I really like is the orange chesecake, which is a softly, delicious cheesecake with big chunks of caramel oranges and tasty orange jam. Don't miss it!

As a warning to any travelers choosing to dine at Live Rock Cafe in Parana, Entre Rios, Argentina: Someone in my family left her credit card by mistake, when paying for her meal. She realized her mistake within about a half-hour and called the restaurant. She was assured the card would be dropped off at her hotel. Yet, when she checked her bank account online, she noticed that someone had already charged the card for a hotel - a hotel that just happens to be across the plaza from Live Rock - within a half-hour. When she returned to the restaurant, she was treated with indignation the moment she walked in. The personnel did not simply deny any wrong-doing, but implied that she "deserved" it.
By the way, the girl is from Parana. If they'll do this to their "own", what makes you think they won't do it to you - a traveler from another country?
Don't patronize these criminals. There are plenty of good restaurants in Parana. Scratch Live Rock from your list. No one deserves to be robbed - regardless of the imagined reason.

One of the best places to eat asado in Paraná. Is not cheap but is not expensive either in comparison with restos in Buenos Aires or other cities of Argentina. The place is nice, cozy and the atention is average. The food is always good, low chances of having a bad time there.

This the restaurant at the HoJo with casino. I thought the meal was very good. Beef empanadas to start. They had chunks of beef instead of ground beef and had a little spice to them. Had the beef steak with potato. The potato was a fried ball with mash inside and some cheese. Different and good. Split a Cesar salad with one person in the group. Had some Malbec with dinner. Overall very good, service included.

Great window seat to people watch the comings and goings of this vibrant part of the downtown main plaza... with a suave Doble Cafe' con Crema and medialunas.
