This small, hilly island between Sicily and Tunisia is growing in popularity as a tourist destination (so if you’re like us, you’ll want to get there soon). Rent a moped to explore. One must-see: the island’s thermal pools. Beaches are rocky, but offer great snorkeling just offshore.

excellent location for romantic dinner watching the sunset that is really unique. hospitality is prompt and very courteous by owners husband, wife and a kid all very cute and friendly remaining extremely professional maitre of a top quality internationalreastaueant. food is excellent based on local ingredients revisited with very experienced and international skills. They know they are very good and appreciate recognition that is deserved. Suche quality is well paid. I would have given 5 stars but 8 must report 2 defects: firstly, it is that illumination hampers appropriate view of sunset or moon shadow on the marvelous sea in front of you; there are horrible lamps standing between you and the unique landscape (the Tramonto that gives the name to the restaurant). secondly, it is that the dentist waiting room type background music does indeed waste the romantic atmosphere.

Lunch on the Terrace with friendly service, an interesting menu, beautifully served food, great wine etcetc - we really liked the Pirata. I'd never normally attempt any dish with sea urchin in it, but home-made pasta and this sauce was divine. Pannacotta dessert flavoured with lime and capers (yes) was extraordinary and delicious. Lunch for two with wine is around 100 Euros. The thrill ride comes when you realise the route back up to the main road from the restaurant car park is really really steep, so if you are in a car with a tiny engine, as we were, you'll need a good run up to it and some smart brakes as you turn sharp right at the top back onto the Perimetrale. All good fun after a wonderful lunch.

I wasn't very thrilled with my experience here. The restaurant is nothing fancy, and it doesn't try to be. If you need a quick bite to eat that is delicious and wont cost more than the change you have in your pocket...look no further.

Worst service and restaurant in entire Sicily and Pantelleria. We had to wait more than 1.5 hours for the food which tasted just very average in the end. The bill consisted only of a total amount. Upon intervention we were provided by a detailed bill, but as it turned out, some food which was offered by the cuisine was charged on the bill. Only after argueing (!) with the person in charge, we could slightly reduce the amount which is still waaay too much for the quality of the food provided (compared to the other restaurants on Pantelleria).
Summing up, I would not recommend to anyone eating there facing that there are many scenic restaurants with good food and acceptable prices.

i have been to Pantelleria for new year and had the chance to try different restaurants.but the place that i can say it was the best is the franco castiglione restaurant. the food was delicios, fresh fish, even see fruits in the middle of the winter:)..they also make pizza and i can say it was good, made in wood oven. the quality of the food it's very good and the price accesible..i recomand this restaurant..

A hopping little place. Really fresh, high-quality food. Prices are reasonable, but no bargain. Loud and crowded. Make Reservations or face a wait. I would definitely go back. Was very crowded and a bit noisy, but well worth it. Every dish we ate or saw coming out of the kitchen looked just right.
Wish there was a neighborhood place like this closer to where I live, but no such luck.

La Conchiglia Restaurant is a rare jewel of a place in Pantelleria. Whether you are a regular or a visitor you will be warmly greeted. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed, yet smart enough for a business dinner. Would I come back? Absolutely.

The place is located on a nice Terrace in Scauri and it's rather busy.
Selection of wines is quite good, while food tends to be rather average.
You get served by different people within the same evening who are kind yet very confused about timing, orders and kitchen arrangements.

Right at the seaside with the view to the historic port of Pantelleria. Good quality of homemade ice-cream and Sweets. Very friendly and moderate price.
