Location is great. Ambiance is great. Live music. Service is great. I had an octopus and it was perfect. Meat dish mixed meat was very good. But both fish and beef soups had a strong taste of Vegeta(?) seasoning, even had an impression that the Bouillon was the same in two soups. They specialise on fish, so go for it.

Went there twice because of good food quality, service and price. Off boulevard so more quiet. Friendly staff Certainly no tourist trap.

The restaurant recently moved from a much more attractive location, but it doesn't seem to have affected its business. We visited out of season, but the Terrace was quite full. Two pluses: it is open when most other restaurants are closed after a busy summer and there is ample parking. The rest is just o.k. It takes quite some time to get your food, but supposedly patrons are on vacation and that shouldn't be such a problem. Something to nibble on (apart from plain bread) might take care of that. Food selection is satisfactory for tavern type restaurant - a little bit of everything (pasta, seafood, meat). Steak was o.k. - steak knives would be a nice touch and make it easier to cut parts that should have been taken care of before cooking. Very limited wine and beer list, but acceptable for the type of establishment (good white house wine). Interesting local dessert. Good coffee (nice touch: it was on the house). Reasonable prices. No view. Not very enthusiastic service.

Welcome to Restaurant Vila Rova! Enjoy local and international dishes on our Terrace and immerse yourself in the flavours of Mediterranean cuisine that will leave you breathless.
We had a great meal. The wine suggestion of the waiter was excellent !
Good service with a lot of product knowledge for a good price.
The only downside was that there was no real Terrace, it's a big nicely decorated square of wich all windows can open, but the roof is not mobile.

Primorska koliba opened in 1976 in Malinska, island of Krk by 2 twin brothers, Boris & Zdravko Iskra. They brought their business of hospitality to a level where food and experience become one. Boris and Zdravko work with all their heart and guests notice that. Primorska koliba is a family business where 2nd generation of Iskra family preserves the traditional background and continues to build the business in contemporary direction.

The history of Rivica is a story of a generational devotion to hospitality and restaurant business. It is a story of passion, hard work, and persistence. At the same time, it is a story of the consistency of general values and changes that come with each new generation or a new period of time, that are reflected in the plates, in the glasses, and in the smiles of our guests. The story begins in 1934 with nona Mara and nono Ivo, when they decided to open a BED AND BREAKFAST in a small fishing village for elite guests from the former "k.U.K." (Kaiserlich und koniglich - Austro - Hungarian Monarchy) and provide them with a hedonistic experience of Kvarner and the Island of Krk, two destinations that they began to uncover and which attracted them with their exotic and untouched nature and climate balance. The story continues with father Ivica and mother Vera as the protagonists who, in the middle and second half of the previous century, brought the Rivica restaurant to the very top of the island and Kvarner and Croatian gastronomy. At that time, the current owner Drazen was being introduced into the world of gastronomy through a natural gravitation towards the family business and his love of the sommelier knowledge and skills as an initial push in that direction, which ignited the fuse to his gastronomic specificity. Today he and his wife, Nikolina, are the protagonists of the story with those same values that have been a part of the two previous generations, now in a more modern context and with the everlasting presence of Bodulij (the name of the Island of Krk in the Cakavian dialect) and Kvarner and with one eye set on the mountain Ucka that surrounds both the arriving guests and the kitchen, thus influencing the cuisine that became one of the main characteristics of the Croatian gastronomy. The cuisine still remains Mediterranean, but is first and foremost of Krk and Kvarner; at the same time it contains an air of the Monarchy and la cucina veneta as its essential cooking and serving guidelines. At the shaded Terrace with a view of the small port, nona Mara's spirit is still present as a contemporary link between passion and dedication, as well as the spirit of gastronomy chosen primarily as a way of life, and secondly as a profession. Rivica... A small port of grand hedonism

Lovely squid for starter. Stone baked filet mignon and veal for dinner. Potatoes were awesome. The pear chili ice cream for desert was amazing. In all, the food was fantastic.
And the service. The service was incredible. Both caring, attentive and giving good advice. Allways with a twinkle in the eye.

Our group tour of Croatia stopped in this town for a visit to the Agro Tourism restaurant up on the hill. Well known for its farm to table cooking. Excellent food. Had a wonderful time here. I highly recommend a lunch here
