An evening of music beckoned across the road at the Shoalhaven entertainment centre, so we dined early. The restaurant already had a reasonable set of covers at six fifteen. The service was attentive and helpful without being over the top. The menu was helpfully broken into dishes with different levels of heat for each major type of protein. The menu was typically large. The wine list was simple and cheap. Thai riverside is not a place for fine dining, but it is a place for good service, pleasant people and good food. All in all, good value.

The restaurant was very busy and we decided to have takeaway besides they had a great midweek deal for 2 pizzas and 2 pastas and nearly half the eat in rate.
Both pastas, Nepolitana and Bolognese were really good and the pizzas were too. I would definitely go back there.

We went after Reading the reviews on TripAdvisor. And we were not disappointed! The food was amazing and that is saying something coz we don’t usually like Indian outside. The highlight was the dal makhni and the Hyderabad’s biryani. Yum!! If you are in the region, I highly recommend a visit.

Great Food. Reasonable Prices. Attentive Staff. Very Enjoyable
We were celebrating the birthday of a friend. The staff was very friendly, but it took very long until we got our food. Not everyone got his food at the same time which was a little troublesome. But the food was really delicious and a huge portion! We really enjoyed the evening. The staff was very child-friendly and we got plastic boxes to take the food we couldn't eat. A very nice evening in a beautiful atmosphere!

Went with a group of 4,all steaks were cooked to perfection, only complaint was we entered the restaurant at 810pm,it closes at 830pm we were abruptly told you must order immediately at the counter because we are shutting, no table service, couple after us sat down and were served,at $30 a steak i think the staff need to have some training in service, so as to compliment the food.

This restaurant has a great atmosphere - the decor, the dim lighting and the riverfront view are all beautiful.
The food was an extreme letdown though....
We started with the squid chips. Though they were nice, they were almost exactly the same as prawn chips from Chinese (only these ones are $9, not free) and there were only about 6 of them...
My zucchini flowers were served with chimmichurri instead of the mayonnaise but it was absolutely horrible - it’s what I imagine the contents of a cigarette to taste like. The same chimmichurri was served with the spatchcock salad and again ruined the whole dish. I’m a fan of smoky flavors, but the chimmichurri was inedible (and unfortunately the rest of the dish was bland on its own).
We had the bombe Alaska for dessert - it was nice.
We had a gin cocktail - very overpriced for the very short glass it was served in.
The waitresses were friendly.
The restaurant asks for food intolerances at the time of booking - I said that I am lactose intolerant but that it’s not an issue with most things because I have tablets to take. They replaced the mayonnaise in the zucchini flower dish with the chimmichurri without asking me first which was annoying because that’s what ruined the dish and if they’d checked with me first, I would’ve confirmed the mayonnaise was fine.
We won’t be back anytime soon, which is disappointing because it could be a great regular dinner spot for us.

Into Nowra for lunch on a hot December day and thought we would give an old favourite a go (this place was River Deli back in the day). It has clearly changed hands as we didn’t enjoy lunch at all. Tepid cappuccino and weak long black and our pie and roll were both very bland. Service was OK but by the sound of things it wasn’t a good day in the kitchen. Disappointing.

When I feel like a brunch or lunch or snack, I always drop in here when passing through Nowra. Easy parking. The food is well presented, with a few tasty quirks added for interest. Great size fr value as well. Staff very pleasant.
