Great taste. Good variety. A mix of Thai food and grilled meats. Thai portions are served with rice while the grilled ones are with fried. Good quantity of food. Good ambience too. Overall worth what you pay. I don't normally rate restaurants 5 but this one is an exception.

A really, really nice dinner! Started with the tartar on moose, which turned out to be a good choice. Followed up with the entrecote with fries for the main course. Meat was cooked perfectly! Topped off with chocolate fondant, excellent! Good service throughout our meal as well.

Welcome to Restaurant Camp Ripan... ...and welcome to the exciting city of Kiruna, where the Swedish, Sami and Torne Valley Finnish cultures meet. Most of our produce comes from our three cultural regions, something we would like to tell you more about. Every dish has its own history. We know where the reindeer wandered and the fish were caught. Our kitchen follows the seasons - all eight of them. Completely according to the ageold Sami traditions. Our dishes are prepared with care, following traditional recipes and spiced with new twists and influences from around the world Restaurang Ripan strives to always choose the most eco-friendly and ethical alternative. Our coffee is eco-certified and we no longer serve bottled carbonated water. The water we serve comes from pristine glacier-fed rivers and is praised as the purest and besttasting in the world. Our goal is to give you a dining experience that moves your senses. Enjoy your meal!
We don't like these endless menu cards you will find in so many restaurants and countries. We found these cards in several restaurants in Scandinavia. But mainly we met places with a certain, concentrated idea: the chef's, the owner's. At Ripan, the idea is Slow-Food from Scandinavia. We ate there several times and were only disapointed by the ikea interieur - and maybe by the small portions.

We are a modern bistro with a northern touch. Here we interpret the northern culinary traditions to our own idea in contrast meetings between rustic innovation & classic finesse. Food that inspires, surprises and tastes really good. Here you can enjoy a good lunch or a tasty three-course dinner. LUNCH - 11.30 to 13.30 / Monday to Friday DINNER - 17:00 to 22:00 / Monday to Thursday DINNER - 16:00 to 22:30 / Friday to Saturday
We had an excellent evening meal. The menu is small which allows each dish to be well thought through. No-one in our party of eight complained about the food. Our waitress was excellent and the surrounding modern yet comfortable. If I am ever back in Lulea I will ray here again.

Connected to the Hotel Bishops Inn, but it is a full-scale pub and restaurant.
Nice place, ready nice decoration, good arrangement and great variety of beers and other drinks.
Here is a pub, do not take as a restaurant but they serve good foods as well better that normal pubs! Yes, it is a little complicated, I believe it is like this for themselves as well. They wanna be a great pub but in parallel behave (just try to) like a restaurants and surprisingly the quality of the food was very good: not as good as a reviewer has said "Best Fish & Chips Ever" but it is good and Pricy!
I found all restaurants here is Kiruna are pricy, I don't understand why but it is! Turism is the reason but how much? 180SEK for fish and chips? 225SEK for a hamburger?! and beers start from ˜85kr.
The other thing I wanna add is first the service. Not good at all!
you would pay min 250kr for a meal and you have to order at the cashier, it takes looooong time 30-45min to bring it and they do not bring you the bill and you cannot pay that at your sit! again cashier! so what I have paid for? Do you expect to get a tip as well in this case that let me to right the payment?!!! what for?!
The lost word. Nice place but no, it is not valuable on this price but.... how many other options do you have in Kiruna? :)
PS. yes I know it is not (hopefully) a printed paper they serves the F&C with but I do not like to eat (or think I am doing it) ink! I prefer to have my meal in a plat instead.

I went midweek and this place was extremely busy. I decided to visit on the basis of trip adviser reviews and wasn't disappointed. Firstly, I liked the look of the restaurant which is modern and clean and the buzzing atmosphere mean that there was plenty for a solo diner to watch. The staff were very helpful-making a space for me at a table and carefully explaining the dishes and even the provenance of the Elk in the main course (locally shot not farmed I recall). Each dish was, well, wonderful. I had a sort of ravioli stuffed with pork belly to start which was absolutely lovely-very intense flavours. For mains, I went for the Elk and reindeer, which again was wonderful and the best dish of my trip. This place is a must visit on a trip.

We asked in town where was the best place for lunch, and this was the answer that kept coming up. Great for lunch or a coffee break, the crowd at the counter indicated how popular this yellow building was. We came back several times for smoked salmon on salads or in a Sandwich, and the carrot cake.

This is a restaurant adjacent to the skybar at Clarion Hotel. I suspect that this Skybar/Restaurant is one of the most popular places to be at a weekend. Booking is certainly necessary.
Service sometimes a bit slow and probably related to a fully booked restaurant. Food very nice and nothing to remark about. This is a restaurant that suits most people including business dinner, and romantic couples. Maybe not so good for very young children.

Our first night at the Ice Hotel and a lovely evening out. 900m walk and a bit tricky to spot the restaurant as the sign for it is large and white and the background was large and white (mound of snow!), we walked down the drive tentatively as it still wasn’t apparent! Looked more like a Swedish cul-de-sac but we spotted a couple taking the coats off and hanging them up with others so we figured we were in the right place. Nice warm welcome, lovely and warm inside too thanks to the open fire. It’s a large wooden cabin, inside and out and dimly lit inside which made it quite homely. We were shown to our table and advised that we could help ourselves to soup and salad prior to our main course. We ordered a couple of reindeer burgers and while this was being cooked tried the corn and chilli soup (very nice, creamy yet spicy, a bit like a korma) and a salad - few leaves, olives, pasta, bean sprout salad and berries (didn’t fancy the fermented cabbage..), all very nice and quite filling especially with the bread provided! Ordered beers which worked out at about £7.80 for 50cl - blonde lager, but nice. Reindeer burgers arrived- dense, quite pink inside but delicious (sorry Rudolph), sweet potato fries, brioche style bun - absolutely stuffed by the end of it! Bill came to about £60 for the two of us, but for here, a 2/3 course meal - well that ain’t bad. Would definitely go again!

Heard lots about this place and got to visit it for a coffee and a very tasty slice of carrot cake.
Really good selection of fresh sandwiches, cakes hot and cold drinks.
The venue is kitsch to say the least but fascinating at the same time with the craziest collection of Americana and Swedish furniture, costumes, advertising and some great 1950/60s cars.
Northern Sweden seems to have a love affair with the 50s and this place represents it.
Definitely worth a visit. Its like a miniature museum with a good cup of coffee
