Another lovely evening at the Dew Pond Restaurant!
The food is excellent quality - I'd highly recommend the cheese soufflé, and the beef is always a winner.
The growing selection of gins is a lovely addition to the menu, but there's plenty of drinks to suit everyone's taste.
Can't wait to visit again!

In addition, many seasonal dishes are locally sourced from sustainable stocks - a triumphant blending of Old World taste and New World values you might say.Whether you're here on a romantic weekend, celebrating an anniversary, enjoying a family reunion or just getting together over a light supper and a few glasses of delicious wine, you're guaranteed to enjoy a very special gastronomic experience at The Vineyard, Berkshire
Visited the restaurant as daughter was staying at hotel on business.Great setting both for the hotel and the restaurant. Warm friendly greetings which is always a positive start and sat in front of a lovely warm fire (with snow falling outside) to enjoy drinks and look at the menu. Excellent selection and finally opted for the a la carte menu which gave more choices for our varying tastes .Knowledgeable staff gave guidance on food ingredients ( daughter is vegan so pretty important ) and excellent sommelier who gave great advice and her recommendation was superb.
The meal was very enjoyable with excellent food combinations. As others have said portion sizes not huge but quality made up for that and at the end of the three courses, we were certainly not hungry! Attentive but not intrusive service with detailed information about each plate.
A really enjoyable meal but just missed the " perfect " tag " as we felt a couple of the dishes could have been warmer and also a couple of times we were getting to the " i wonder where our next course is" when it appeared!
Also there was a large party in the restaurant , inevitably noisy which slightly detracted from the occasion- very pleasantly serene when they had all gone! Would have thought that a hotel/restaurant such as the Vineyard would have had some private rooms for larger parties.
But I am sure we will visit again and repeat a most enjoyable evening

Our food was spot on, even took a plastic to go box, so that my teenager could enjoy a takeaway roasty dinner!
staff were so accommodating, our table wasn't ideal, so we simply asked and they were more than happy to move us.
My boyfriend enjoyed the many different IPA's , I enjoyed my lovely hot choc, which came with a little home made shortbread biscuit, yummie.
This is our second visit and I am sure it will not be our last.
An excellent half way meeting point from Guildford to Bristol.

Me and my partner visited this restaurant after spending the day at the races. On arrival we were greeted by friendly staff who sat us and took our orders. The food came out quick and the portion sizes were amazing, you won’t be leaving hungry. At the end of our meal we asked the waitress for a taxi number and was greeted by the owner, Kevin. After trying a few numbers he offered to give us a lift free of charge back to our hotel which we accepted. We were very impressed and greatfull at the extra mile Kevin went to. We will visit again and will recommend to friends and family.

Interesting menu and when the food arrived it was obvious a lot of thought had been given to the detail. Good service and reasonable value considering the quality of the food. My only complaint was the Seating at the particular table we were given: a bench seat with no back and no where to rest your feet - which got uncomfortable after an hour or so.

We had a meal on Mother's Day and it was wonderful. The welcome was warm and friendly, the food was delicious and the choice of real ales was good. Our son has multiple food allergies and the staff were fantastic in accommodating his needs and...MoreThank you Kate for your lovely five star review. A free house, serving locally sourced quality pub food, ales and wines.
Had lunch here, all prices are about average but the portion size is amazing. The food taste and quality is brilliant, they cater for gluten free, vegetarian and dairy free if needed. The staff are very friendly and attentive, online booking completed a week before arrival and confirmed within a few hours of request. I'd highly recommend booking if coming on a Sunday lunchtime just to avoid disappointment. I'll definitely be visiting again!!

Our inspiration for the food and design of Cote is a modern interpretation of the many famous bistros of Paris. Inspired by new trends, we are dedicated to serving authentic classic brasserie dishes with a modern twist, using high quality produce at great prices. On the menu, guests will always find brasserie favourites on our a la carte menu such as steak frites, moules marinieres, corn-fed chicken from rural Brittany and tuna Nicoise, for dessert, Cote's creme caramel and creme brulee are much-loved house specialities. Seasonality and Cote's commitment to sourcing high-quality ingredients results in a monthly changing specials menu, ensuring there is always something new to delight regular guests and gastronomes alike, as well as the excellent value set menu. Open early every day for breakfast, through to lunch and dinner; Cote's atmosphere is informal and friendly.
We were back in the area meeting friends so decided to treat ourselves to breakfast.
There is an offer of a breakfast and drinks for £10.95. The portions are huge, the service was very good even though it was extremely busy.
Our one gripe is the automatic service charge that is added at the end, please stop this, it's unfair for staff and customers alike.
If I have good service I will tip ( more than the service charge ) and if I don't have good service why should I be forced to tip?

Absolutely fantastic noodles soup; my husband enjoyed the HK style wonton noodle soup and I loved my beef brisket with udon noodle soup. We also loved our fresh prawn spring rolls which were very balanced in flavour with a good selection of fresh herbs. If it couldn't get any better, just as we were finishing our soup, the owner brought a fresh batch of pineapple buns out of the oven and the smell was so heavenly we had to buy some to take away with us as we couldn't have possibly managed them after big hearty bowls of soup!
