food is ok, view is really nice but can't be seen from the small windows of the indoor room. The owner is impolite and arrogant. We spent way too much considering what we had (a Fiorentina steak to share, one pasta to share, a bottle of wine and a tasting of the -bad bad bad- desserts, all for 100 euros. Won't recommend it

We ate at Trattoria Da Marino twice last week. We found it thanks to Michelin. Once again. Michelin did its job. For us, this was the perfect balance of good, really good food, ambiance, service and price. We over-ordered. The portions were generous and in-ordered food kept coming. We particularly enjoyed our conversations with the owner. This is not a fancy or tourist restaurant. We think we were the only non-locals there. However the owner's English was perfectly adequate. If you go, the location is dark. Don't be disturbed by the street leading up to the restaurant.

A lovely pastries and cakes shop which seemed to be open all hours! they also have a small Italian café, where lots of people choose their Sandwich, coffee and stand up to eat.
I had bought Italian specialites to take home, but also some sandwiches for eating on the plane. These were lovely and really at bargain prices compared to the offerings on BA. don't miss stopping off here, even if it is just to look at the amazing Italian cakes and pastries. (they also do yummy panforte (cheaper and better than the airport), and other Tuscan specialites.

Wish we had booked as we were sat on our own outside so I think it lost some of the atmosphere (our own fault), but still glad that we went. You choose the size of steak you want and it's cooked to perfection, such brilliant flavours and a some nice beer to wash it down with. Helpful staff, and a gorgeous place inside, almost cafe like but more.
My girlfriend had pork, which she was told, would be cooked a little pink. At first this worried her a little, but when she tasted it, there was no going back! Brilliant food, if you're in the area, go try it out!

Advanced Booking is suggested, The Restaurant close at Midnight
Was greeted with a glass of prosecco. After ordering food received a complimentary bean soup with an assortment of rolls and bread all freshly cooked early that dayolive and tomato bread, walnut bread, aniseed bread to name a few. The olive and tomato was excellent. Just had main course with bottle of wine. The Florentine steak was cooked to perfection and nice but have tasted better. The seafood dish was very tasty. The ambience and service was excellent. The Restaurant was quite expensive but worth going there for a treat.

We had the chance to stay over the weekend at my parents vacation house and enjoyed having dinner several times at this excellent restaurant. try the mix of fried calamares with vegetables or the pizzas or penne agli scampi!
book a table before as well attended by local people.

Molto famosa e antica. Un cult per ama il cioccolato ... Non puó mancare ...
Deep in Tuscany and in a very unassuming boutique, Slitti produces delicious chocolate treats. If you want to blend with the locals, pop in for a well-prepared, decadent chocolate drink...summer or winter. My favorites here are the chocolate/hazelnut spread, Dragees, and Ricci. For those interest in serious coffee as well, you won't be disappointed. These brothers know what they are doing. If you are spa'ing nearby, a stop here will enhance your you-are-worth-it vibe. The Fratelli Taccini (studio in Vinci) created the coffee urns you will see behind the counter. If you look closely, you will see the history of coffee in images mixed in their Raffaelesque style. Just a treat for the senses!

Must be as went there 3 times on our 5 night stay in Tuscanny. Loved the outdoor setting with tables on the grass. Service was superb, especially the young guy who also speaks some English. Others were a delight including the older waiter, and even one night the older chef came out to talk to some of the guests which was great. Menu had great selection at reasonable price.

We love Montecatini Termi and coming here for years! A fee years back we have come across Casa Gala in Montecatini Alto; romantic atmosphere, jazz playing, deliciously prepared menu, variety of traditional and non traditional Tuscan dishes, most welcoming and cant wait to come back!!
