Nice restaurant well decorated as If Time has stopped and comfortable. Classic dutch food for brunch with different sandwiches of différent breads toasted or not. I advise The oignon soup very good.

The friendly host welcomed us and brought us to a nice table. We looked at the streetfood options which looked appealing. We settled for a great main which tasted authentic and far far beyond the standard chinese restaurants.
You will love the experience, visit the place and enjoy

Don’t bother wasting your time and energy here particularly if you are only in Volendam for a short period. The restaurant was only around 40% full yet the staff took far too long to order our food and didn’t acknowledge us. When we ordered the food, we then waited 40 minutes!!! Ridiculous considering the restaurant was not at all busy. We needed to leave and as soon as we stood up, they bought the food out. The food itself was less than average. Because of this we didn’t get time to explore Volendam. Wouldn’t recommend.

This is far from an ordinary Chinese restaurant. Because of the nice weather, we sat outside at the harbour. Downside of this is that everybody seems to smoke, because it is outside..... It serves perfect food form bites till full meals. We had crispy duck and sate as starter and both were very good. We took a bottle of white house wine, which was OK.
The lobster was very good. Very well prepared, without too much handwork. The Chinese flavour perfectly matched.
You order side dishes separately, although choise is limited. Mainly rice and noodles.
This place is certainly recommended.

Our tea house is a 15 minute drive away from Amsterdam and is located right in the middle of the countryside. Get out of the busy city and enjoy our high tea, homemade cakes or fresh sandwiches in our beautiful garden close to the water. Meanwhile, admire the view of our beautiful Dutch landscape with its canals, small lakes and green fields. Make your day out complete and step into one of our electric boats and explore 'Waterland' at your own pace. Boat through this unique nature area and admire the smalltown harbours and historic villages like Broek in Waterland and Monnickendam with their famous 17th century wooden houses. Bring our homemade picnic with you on board and enjoy Holland on its best.
Somewhere in the middle of the dutch country side you find this cute, pure and child friendly place for great specialty coffee, tea, tasty pies and wonderful scenery!

We ate at The Posthoorn and enjoyed its fabulous tasting menu. Every course brought oohs and aahs of appreciation as each new combination of taste, texture and flavour arrived. Service was solicitous but far from po-faced or overly serious.
